Just bought a new Laptop running Winddows 7 - I run SMPro off of my XP desktop - I see that people are having issues with Win7 and that the answer is to use the online SM. Does it function just like SMPRO? What about photos uploading in bulk etc? Scheduling in bulk etc? Will I have to pay extra?
While some of our customers have been successful using SMPro on a Windows 7 machine, others have not. The first thing to try to get SMPro to work on a Windows 7 machine is to try running the programing in different compatibility modes. This can be done by right-clicking on the SMPro desktop icon and selecting "Properties". Then click the "Compatibility" tab and select to run the program in compatibility mode. Then try Windows 98 compatibility mode. If that does not work try Windows XP SP2. If that does not work try Windows XP SP3.
However, it is correct that you can use the online Sales Manager as well. There is no extra charge for this and you can schedule in bulk. In order to upload images in bulk you will need to use the XPress Image Publisher. You may find more information about XPress Image Publisher and how to download it here (follow the Windows Vista instructions for your Windows 7 machine):
