I went ahead and gave in to the powers that be and verified myself so I could get the debit card and reduce the increased fees. It says all transaction will be "instant deductions" from my checking account. If I have funds in paypal it will use them first correct ?? and not out of my checking account. that's only if I haven't enough funds in my paypal balance right ???????? Please verify

The debit card shouldn't pull anything out of your checking account - you only have available via the debit card up to the amount of your current Paypal balance.

That was MY understanding of it anyway....

Hi Kat, thanks for the help but I think I mispoke my question. I was refering to auctions that I win on e-bay and pay for via pay pal. I want to make sure those winnings are taken from my existing funds and not my checking funds.

Hi tomyou,

You should see your payment options when sending a payment on the "SEND MONEY" screen. You can see how you are funding the payment through the choices here (click for more payment options).
