Hi Incannes

If you're going to use Algebra, where is the missing variable?

But even then unless you know how to apply it, any result is useless.

YOUR CALCULATIONS

1) 0.713743 - 0.6717 = .042

2) .042 X $290 = $12.18

3) $12.18 @ .713743 pounds/dollar = 8.69 pounds

4) 8.69 pounds does not = `12 pounds

Your mistake is in line (2) it should = £12.18. GB Pounds

Lines (3)and (4) are redundant.
