Hi all,

PayPal, the leading -online payment service, is committed to the highest
levels of security. In order to help our users in further protecting
themselves, we would like to bring several items to your attention and make
some recommendations so that transactions done on-line can be done safely.

PayPal uses 128-bit encryption and the founder of public-key cryptography is
on our board of advisors. All sensitive financial information, such as credit
cards and bank account numbers, can't be viewed by the employees in the
company and they can't be viewed on the web site even when you are logged in.
The safety of all of our users is of paramount importance to the company.

In order for our users to be safe as possible, we would make the following
recommendations to further enhance the security of our system:

1. Please be sure to use a different password combination than you use when
visiting other sites.
2. Please feel free to change your password on a regular basis. This can be
done on the web site whenever the user feels the need to do so.
3. Please do not log in to any site other than www.paypal.com or click on any
links bringing you to a site that looks like PayPal. If a site looks like
paypal, but does not contain the www.paypal.com or https:// designation that
appears when you log in, please report this immediately.
4. Do not surrender your password to any site asking for access to your
PayPal email address and password. Report such requests to PayPal immediately.
5. Please do not use intuitive passwords (such as your name) and be sure to
include variations such as capitalization and numbers.
6. Please do not write down your password where others can have access to it.
7. If you feel that your password has been stolen, please contact us
immediately.
8. Report unusual changes to your account immediately. If you did not
authorize a change on your account, such as adding an email address or
deleting one, please contact us immediately.A notification is sent when this
kind of change is made by the user.

PayPal will also restrict the account if the password combination is failed
after multiple tries. This is done to further reduce the potential for
someone accessing your account without your consent.

Hi,

I am concerned about the possibility of PayPal going out of business. What happens to the money in my PayPal account if PayPal goes bankrupt? Thanks in advance for answering my question.
