I am 2 days old having a storefront...which I think I am really going to enjoy. But I need to know how to keep myself from going crazy. The problem is...I am not only launching to eBay...I understand that those automatically post to the storefront. My auctions never have "Buy It Now". When I put items into my storefront "Buy It Now". I can't tell in my "unsold items" which ones have been put into the storefront. I do not want to accidentally launch that same item into eBay. I can't tell either in "My Inventory" which ones are currently running in eBay...although I can see which ones are in my storefront. I am having to hop back and forth between pages which is taking a great deal of time. Isn't there a way to identify in "Unsold Items" with a storefront icon or something?

Hi doubleexposure847,
Auctions are automatically imported into the Storefront when you launch them to eBay. When these items are clicked on in your Storefront, they are taken to the auction page at eBay. When the auction ends on eBay the item is removed from your Storefront.

Brian ... I'm creating a more 'hands on' storefront with you right now too ... when our items end without a bid at ebay, we want to move them TO our Storefront with a 'set price' .. i was told a couple days ago that if, when we set up an ebay item for auction, and click in "save item to inventory", that we could then find it in inventory after the auction closed and move it to the storefront. ... i am having trouble trying to do this ... i can't find those 'closed auction items' in Inventory ,,,
I did set up a few items with the Storefront 'set price' that have not gone to auction yet ... how will i take those to auction when i'm ready? ...
even though i have read all of the 'help' mentioned in running a storefront, i cannot see how to do a lot of things i'm trying to do. LOL .... ... another question i have is when an item sits in the storefront with a 'set price' and remains unsold for a long time, does this affect that item's images as far as the amount of time our Image Management keeps our pics on for approx. 90 days, then sweeps 'em out? ... that would worry me to be showcasing an antique that might take 6 months or more to get sold, that someone would browse to the well-prepared 'listing' and not be able to have a picture to look at! ...
Sorry i know this is a lot of questions, but, this IS a learning experience for me. ..

Hi estatesalestuff,
If you saved the listing to your inventory then it will be listed there. It wouldn't be listed under closed auctions, it would be in your main inventory.
As far as your images go, if they are not viewed at least once during a 90 day period they will be deleted. Keep an eye on your Image Hosting section to make sure images that you don't want deleted are refreshed.

but, Brian, it IS listed in my 'Closed Auctions' on my Auction Manager page, simply showing that it ended with no bids ... the only option i see for taking it from my 'closed auctions' section is to relist it as an auction, NOT as a 'storefront only' item. ... take any one of my recently ended unsuccessful auctions, as for instances ... i can't find those in my inventory.
--- what is the best way to utilize the 'profile' items in our case [where we have such varied items?] ..

Hi estatesalestuff,
What I should have said, is that when you click on Save Item To Inventory, that item will be placed in the inventory immediately. So now, instead of relisting a closed auction to your Storefront, simply move the item that was placed in your inventory to your Storefront.

AW's instructions section is not good, so I have figured this out on my own. There may be a better way, but this is what I do.
After the eBay auction closes w/o selling, item is in AW's closed section. Go to INVENTORY, and change it from Auctions section to Storefront section, editing it as 1 item available and its price. Save it, and that puts it in Storefront for you. Then you may go to the closed section and delete it. Don't delete it prior to placing it in Storefront. Should it sell, it will pop into the closed section again, and you can do Post Sale Management on it.

Sure....here's the help, and let me know if more details needed. So here's what you need to do: CONTROL PANEL/DISPLAY OPTIONS/INVENTORY. At the bottom of that list, click MANAGE FOLDERS. ((( I was assuming you had folders set up, so if you don't, you'll see that everything goes to the default, which is UNFILED, and that should be where all your listings are shown. Set up these new folders and you can move things into sections. ))) When it goes there, click NEW. Type in these for new folder set-ups: AUCTIONS, UNSOLD, 2002-Jan, 2002-Feb, 2002-March, STOREFRONT.
If you have what I think, you'll need to (one at a time) move currently listed items from UNFILED to AUCTIONS, move what didn't sell to UNSOLD, what sold in January to 2002-Jan.....etc. Now whenever something doesn't sell, you can move it to UNSOLD, then whenever you're ready, move it to STOREFRONT, and it actually puts it in your Storefront. You could move something directly from AUCTIONS to STOREFRONT if you like, instead, and not even have an UNSOLD folder. You will notice that anytime you list something it will be found under UNLISTED. That's when I go in and move into AUCTIONS. As things sell, I move into the month's folder. At the end of the month, I can print that out (without images) and it's a nice little list for me.
Holler back if more info needed. Anyone else reading this....if there's a simpler way, please share with us.

Strange... I handle this differantly. I save item in the inventory at time I launch to ebay. When ebay closes I simply go to the item in my inventory and add 1 to store at the btm on lft.... then I save. it takes a second and instantly launches. I then delete the ebay auction.

Appreciate it so much. I think we're doing the same thing, but perhaps I'm going "around Jacob's barn" to get at it. I did forget to tell the previous person to Save to Inventory. I do that, too. So I think your're saying you don't have folders....you just leave the auction in Unfiled until it closes without selling, then in the Storefront section (lower left) add the 1 and price, save, and it changes to storefront. Is that right? Sure sounds easier that what I do. I truly appreciate it. Do you have a folder to place the auctions that do sell on ebay, or am I missing something here?
