I currently have my own cc merchant which is not supported by AW. I would really hate to switch merchants, since I am have an AWESOME deal with my current provider.
My question is: Is there anyway around this? FOr instance, when the buyer chooses to pay by credit card, is their cc info emailed to me along with the order so that I may process the credit card?

Hi myfamilycloset,
Most cc purchases are done by the seller sending a link to the buyer for secure online cc processing. You shouldn't send cc numbers throught the email as this is not secure.
You may want your buyers to telephone you with their payment information.

Thanks for your reply. You are right, I didnt word my question right.
OKay, Would I receive an email stating that an order was placed or a payment was received with a secure link to the order info with the credit card information?

Hi myfamilycloset,
Yes, you will receive confirmation when someone purchases an item from your Storefront. However, the cc instructions need to be in your Storefront information, or need to be sent to the customer via email. Depending on how you want to process orders, you would let them know either in your Storefront confirmation or a direct email from you. You can write your cc processing instructions in your Storefront by going to Storefront, Edit Storefront, Storefront Policies.

If the buyer chooses to pay with cc from the options at the storefront checkout, where would he input his information? Does AW have a secure form or site for inputting secure information? And would I be able to access that.
The reason why I am asking is because, I am currently using another auction service but I am considering switching to AW. Currently, using the other service, when someone buys something and they wish to pay via cc, the buyer inputs their cc info onto a secure order form through my auction service. Then, I am sent an email stating that an item was purchased and a link to that secure order form where I can view their address, billing address, cc info, etc.
Does AW offer anything like this or something similar?
Does any of this make any sense? =)

Hi Myfamilycloset,
When editing your storefront, if you click on the Storefront Policies link you can edit your payment information. Since you have your own credit card merchant, what you could do is check the Direct Processing method, select the cards you accept, and put instructions in the text box provided telling your buyer that you will send them payment instructions, or a link to the form for that item. We do not take credit card information. I hope this answers your questions!
