I set up my storefront and added a fixed priced item to the store. Is their a way to customize the category it lists on the left hand side of the screen. I would perfer something like diecast or action. Instead I ended up with motorsports as a category. How do I change this. I also launched an item to auction. The category that showed up was unknown. How do I get it in the correct area?

Hello,

We just released upgrades to Stores this morning that let you create your own categories for your store. If you go to the Stores tab, you will see the changes that have taken place as well as a tutorial that explains the changes. Let me know if you need help creating a category after checking out the new changes.

Regards,

Sonya

Sonya:

Thanks for the quick response. I went in and changed my categories and they look great!

I have a few more question.

On inventory, I have a quantity of 5 listed in my store. I have 3 auctions running. Assuming that all 3 auctions sell, will the 3 auctions automatically be subtracted from the 5 leaving 2 available? If this is the case, what happens if someone purchases all of the inventory in the store before the auctions end? Will I have a shortage?

Is there a way to select which items you display on the front page of the store. I currently have only 1 item in inventory and 3 auctions running. The same item is displayed 4 times.

Also, I have selected to close my store to the public until I get the issues worked out. Can you put in a request that the message be change from Sorry the this store is unavailable, to the store is temporarily closed for renovation or something like that. If I were a bidder and I saw the unavailable message, the next time I came across the store icon for the seller, I probably would just ignore it thinking that it wasnt working.

Also, so far your tech support has been far superior to your competitors. Please keep up the good work.

Debra

Hi Debra,

Glad to see that you like the upgrades.

Regarding the inventory question, the quantity will not be affected if the 3 auctions sell. Therefore, you won't have a shortage.

The reason you have the same item there four times is because you have 3 at auction, and 1 in your store as a buy now price so it is showing 4 different items -- even though they are the same. If you click on all four you will see that they are different.

I have noted your suggestion and sent this thread on to Product Development to look at.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Regards,

Sonya
