Now that my storefront has been closed and I don't have a gallery anymore, how do I prevent the gallery GIF and link from being inserted into my auctions? I don't want people clicking on the link and then getting an AW page stating the storefront is closed.

Hello,

It should no longer insert the link for you if you have closed it and removed the promotional gallery icon. Is the button still appearing even though you closed it?

Sonya

I'm in the same boat. How do you close your store? Mine is listed in my auctions as "Additional Information" and then a gallery icon appears for people to click on the store.

I can't find anything, anywhere to get that out of my auctions.

What do I do?

Hello Blconner,

Your store trial expired, so now when people click that link they are told that your store is now closed. It won't show up on future auctions, however it won't automatically remove itself from current ones, either. If your item has no bids you should still be able to revise it, in which case you would go in and remove the HTML to your store gallery icon link.

Sonya

Hi Sonya,

I let my storefront expire, too. I have unchecked the box in seller's preferences to show the storefront icon but it's still showing in my new auctions under additional information.

Can you fix this or am I doing something wrong???

Hello,

Those items you have in pending were not created new after the link was removed though right? Your storefront expired after you already had these items scheduled to list?

I checked, and a newly created auction in your account does not show it. I also unscheduled all of your pending items, then rescheduled them to list at the same exact time. This time when they scheduled, they picked up your current preferences and no longer show the link.

All but 3 of the items/auctions that are pending were created today, 3 weeks after my storefront expired and 2 weeks after I changed my preferences!!!

I know you said you fixed it but the storefront icon is still showing on my new pending auctions going off tonight.

Hello,

I believe the error stems from the AuctionWatch quick preview, which is what you see when you click on a scheduled pending item. We did note that using the 'quick preview' in an unscheduled listing instead of the eBay preview will also show this gallery icon.

If you unschedule any of them and use the eBay preview, the eBay preview does not show the link anymore.

We will notify engineering of this issue, please let us know if these items end up launching with the gallery icon. (they should not, but please let us know if they do)
