I've launched some auctions and chose to save the items to my store inventory. Why doesn't my Inventory show the item quantity of 1 at auction? It only shows Quantity Available of 1 with 0 At Auction and 0 In Store.

If the item goes unsold at auction will I have to manually move the quantity of 1 that is available over to show 1 in the Quantity In Store? Or will this move on its own?

Thanks!

Hello,

Saving an item to inventory only places it there for future inventory usage. The item you listed when you saved it to inventory is not kept track of at all.

Idealy, either create the item from inventory initially, or check that box and save the item without listing it, then originate the auction from that entrty in your inventory - to keep track of the quantity available/at auction.

Thanks Christopher!

I'll upload the items to inventory first.

Okay, I uploaded to inventory, next I launched auctions from inventory. No problem. If the items go unsold at auction after being launched from the Store, will they revert back to being available in the store and increment the store quantity and decrease the At Auction number accordingly?

Hello,

If the item listed from inventory to auction goes unsold, the quantity available to place into the storefront or at auction goes back up. It does not add to the actual quantity available at your storefront, as that is set manually within that inventory's specifics.

Yep, I had two close this evening and they moved from Auction to Available - just as you said and I moved the correct quantities to Store and all is good in the magic kingdom.

The question seemed premature, but during a refresh of my Sales Manager Pro I got a glimpse that my two store items at auction had ended and I jumped right into Inventory Management to move them into the store. While I was typing I looked back to refer to it, and refresed Sales Manager again and it showed the two auctions still active and not closing for a few more hours. That's when I realized I had already asked the question so I edited it to "when they close" instead of "how they closed" and the actions showing in inventory.

Don't know why the glitch came up like that, never had it before. Not a problem now anyway.

Thanks!

Greg
