We understand the search field embedded within our Store is limited and not very generous on assisting customers in locating items - and therefore may be causing missed sales.
SUGGESTION FOR SOLUTION:
I have noticed while working on the Inventory Management Page, that I can find items within my inventory quickly and efficiently by using the FIND and All Categories button located there.
It finds items with amazing speed and accuracy... even 1, 2, or 3 letter words. It ALSO searches through the item description... not just the title. It finds it all.
It locates hyphenated items in my store such as Ore-Ida ; it finds words or numbers or phrases that are NOT in the text, but deep in the item description.
It doesn't however, find items in quotations - hey, it does everything but that.
Since this FIND function is already there for US to use, why not replace the limited search field in our stores with this FIND function that works?
Sales could skyrocket from this simple change.
Thanks for your consideration.

Hey Christopher...aka zerox man. I have been complaining/logging/asking about the search for a year. Sometimes one feels like it does get lost. I have clients who collect ads from three letter categories: DOW...Bon Ami, etc.. I am now servicing those clients off line. Meaning, the items are in the store but you don't get credit when they sell because the clients can't find them. Instead they email me and say, sell me all your bon ami ads. I just remove them from inventory. So, it is in VD's best interest to correct this to increase sales and thereby your income. Right now I am getting all kinds of sales that are not going through your system. This is going to help you....OK?
