Both of my last two Storefront customers (yesterday) were unable to combine purchases in the cart and thus entered them as separate sales. I enclose one of the emails received with numbers. I was actually notified that he won item 572190234 twice:
***************************************
Dear Sirs;
I tried to get the cart to add two items together but it would not take them.
So, I had to place two separate orders with the same credit card.
However, I received 3 email confirms instead of just 2.
Please make sure that I am charged XXXXX and XXXX for #572190889 and #572190234.
Thank you veyr much.

Hi Baylor45,
It looks like you combined them into an order already. I have checked your cart and it is working properly in terms of combining items. Did your customer tell you anything more about what happened when they tried to combine?

No, no details. Just seem to be having trouble. I do know that I had to go in and complete a large Coca Cola order for one guy. Why? Because he had to "re-do" the Coke search each time he wanted to add one to the cart. His previous searches were not saved. It was easier for him to write down the inventory numbers of the 10 items he wanted and then have me go find them. Well, as you know, we don't have a clue what our inventory item NUMBERS are. I had to pull up each ad, run the cursor over the picture and then see if the number that came up matched the number he had written down. Oh well, a sale is a sale.

Part of my store "renovation" at the moment is to place my self-assigned item number visible in the item description.
This item number is also my SKU number and my image number (I try to keep things simple for myself). This way I can pull the ad, the image and all with one look at the item in the store.
I have suggested in another thread in this section to default the SKU numbers to print out on the invoice/packing slip - for those who use SKU numbers. I understand why Vendio assigns an Order number for Post Sale control and association with our Vendio account - and that Order number is great - if the customer completed checkout and printed the confirmation page or wrote the order number down - but once they checkout they can't even go back in and add to or adjust their own order!
Something really, really, really, needs to come together to make the Store experience more professional and "customer" oriented - with an effective search - saved searches - or something. Translation of SKU numbers (if used) would greatly benefit sellers also.
If people have to work at buying something, they usually won't. I myself refuse to stand in line to give money away. I can only imagine how many other consumers choose NOT to consume from a store that is "half-baked".
These are not criticisms (yes they are) these are suggestions (required improvements) that hopefully will be addressed in the very very very near future.
My pen rests... in piece.
