Good morning:
I am new to the Store feature, I listed a store item and was wondering how I can make the image that I insert at the top of the item listing. Currently the one I did is on the left and making my description scrunch over so that I myself have to scroll to the right just to read all the description. I tried to make my font smaller to avoid that and now it is not very readable.

The first listing I did (now deleted it) the image was at the top and it looked nice. Now Vendio is putting them to the left. This has just been in the last couple of days this happened.

Can we not make default templates for store items like we can for auctions, or am I missing something?
Thank you for any help.
Bev

Hello,

The image placement depends on the size of the image. If it is small it will go to the left. If you have more than one, they will all go on top regardless of size.

Unfortunately templates cannot be applied to store items.

Hi Sonya
Thank you for your quick reply. I tried enlarging my images and also adding more than one and they are still showing on the left. Matter of fact only one image is showing up in my listing preview. I use the auction listing all the time and never have any problems. I am using the Vendio Sales manager software that I downloaded and it is version 4.2 if that helps figure this out. Even the image for another store listing that did insert at the top for a short time is now wanting to insert to the left.

I appreciate all your help
Bev

Hello,

The image needs to be wider, not longer. If you can make it wider, it will default to the top of the listing.

The preview should only show one image.

If I make it wider then I am going to distort my images out which would be senseless to list items like that. Is there no way that Vendio techs can change this so that we can have the images at the top? The storefronts will be useless to me like this and I was so hoping to use them as they are affordable and also I use htem for listing auctions. And auction listing layouts are super great, I would think the storefronts could be the same way.

Frustrating. LOL

This listing I added two images and only one is showing up:
http://shop.vendio.com/Countryconsignment/item/572123601/index.html

And is still to the left. I also recently lost my categories in my Sales Manager. When I click on to creat a store listing, and then click on categories to choose one of my store categories it is reverting to auction categories. This must have happened during a synchronize.
Thanks again for your help

Hi Bev,

I am happy to see that it is working out for you now. Are you still having trouble with your categories?

Hi Sonya
Yes I am still having the category problems. Yesterday when I was working on my first listing the drop down list in a store front listing in Sales Manager had my store front categories numbers, now there are some numbers and then when I hit browse to find hte right category it brings up what looks like auction categories although are not even subcategorized like Ebays are. Not sure what happened there.

I have done many synchs since and it still is not resolving itself to my categories. Also there are only like 6 varied category numbers that are showin

Hello,

In your account, it shows you've only got five categories set up. Try quitting and restarting, then picking "My Store" in New Listing -- let me know if you continue to get auction categories.

Hi Sonya
There are only 5 categories. I did restart and that helped. Thank you so very much. That makes it much easier.

I am having my images show up at the left of the description too, and the description is all mashed up. The whole effect is crap!
I cannot make the image different as they are first day covers and they will be distorted. It's not something I should have to change. Vendio should have any and all images placed at the top of the description... period.
Can't we get the techies to go to work on this?

Nice stuff, tomwiii! I gotta keep my wife away from your stuff or she'll buy all the angels. She's a gardening freak too and you've got some stuff that we don't yet have littering the flower beds ('scuse me... adorning the flower beds).
I understand your work-around with the problem.
Seems to me that Vendio should just work out the problem and be done with it. Tain't like the service is free any more -- we are paying after all.
Yo, Vendio, anybody home?

Hello,

I have logged a suggestion regarding choosing the image placement for the store.

Thank you, Sonya.
I promise not to be picky about what is done!
Buyers are tough enough and it gets worse when they have to make choices or click on things to get images loaded. Having a reasonably sized pic at the top will do fine. (There should be some notation even now that the image can be enlarged by clicking on it -- that is not appearing now with the teeny image at the left.)
I will supply new pocket-protectors for all the guys/gals in your tech division if they can pull this off soon!
