I currently use Vendio for my online selling. I have a storefront that I like because it is integrated with the auction solution. But, I find the storefront limiting (layout, policies, etc.). I am considering moving my storefront to my own website using OSCommerce.

I like the fact that, currently, my storefront is advertised with my auction listings. I wanted to know if there was a way to make that link go somewhere other than the Vendio storefront?

I assume that probably is not possible, but it should be. I am sure there are Vendio users who do not use the provided storefronts because they have their own.

Hello,

The link with the gallery icon is automatically inserted, unfortuantely you can't change the address that it points to. If you decide to host your own store, what you can do is place a link to it in your default text box in Global Preferences. This way, a link to your store will always show on your listings and it will come after your item description.

I believe that if you put a link to your store on the auction page, eBay will end the listing. I had this happen before, and it wasn't even an actual link. My url is http://www.gifts-n-crafts.net , and I had only "gifts-n-craft.net". They disallowed it, and ended all the auctions which had it.

Hello,

eBay is really strict when it comes to links -- you might want to ask them why they ended those auctions to avoid it from happening in the future. Usually they email you the reason why but they can probably tell you specifically what the problem was.

I didn't even have a link to my website--just the phrase "if you don't see what you want here, visit our website." They didn't end my auction, but "requested" that I remove the phrase, which I did.

I believe if you do have a link to your store on your auction listing, it can only provide additional information about the item up for auction.

I agree with you. I have extensive instructions, and return/gaurantee information on my website, but they wouldn't let me have a sentence telling even that much.
