I have a vendio store and have been very pleased with the service. However, I am setup only to accept paypal and money orders. I have lost some sales in the past few days because I do not accept credit cards directly. I see where I can signup for verisign. But, if I already have a merchant account with a terminal where I can manually submit the card # will this work. If I tag that I accept credit cards in my global account, when a person checks out with vendio is this a secure checkout? and how do I see their credit card # so I can submit it manually myself.

Hi there,

What most people do if they are set up to accept credit card payments but don't want to register for Verisign is include a phone or fax number during checkout with directions on how to phone or fax payment details. I would not advise having customers enter credit card numbers in the Store checkout - even though checkout is secure, it is risky having this information stored in your account.

Thanks,

Diana

Paypal has a new service called Virtual Terminal. Check it out on the Paypal website.
