To accept cc in my vendio store I have to pay $249.00 set up fee and $60.00 every month. And these charges do not include a merchant account.I have to bring my own merchant account!!!!

Hello,
Ok, I think I hear what your thinking. No, the only cost for accepting credit cards directly in your Vendio storefront (vs via paypal/etc) would be the merchant account itself.
The fees you mention are the Verisign costs for their monthly based plan, this is all you actually need. There is no additional cost to Vendio for this service.

Stop And Answer The question. Is Vendio Married To Versign You Need To Get To Work TODAY and Add Authorized net It Will Only Cost $9.95 Per Month If You Dont Get It Fixed I An Many others Should Go To A Provider That Has It You Are One Of The Last To Go To Authorized net Every thing Is Great But This Is A Real Problem Thank John WHOLESALEGIFTSRUS

Vendio isn't "married" to Verisign. Verisign is integrated into Vendio's checkout. Vendio charges have nothing to do with Verisign charges. Verisign charges a monthly fee and a set up fee to use their service and yes, you do need a merchant account to work with Verisign.
If you were using Authorize.net you would not get the secure page for customers to enter in their credit cards on Vendio, as we are not integrated with Authorize.net at this time. But you can use the Direct Offline Processing method to include directions on how customers can get their cards to you until we are able to support Authorize.net

Any idea on when you will intregrate a different credit card acceptance service. Verisign is way to expensive and a terrible match for small businesses like 99% of Vendio customers. PayPal Payment Pro or even something else would be great. Otherwise I have to agree with the other posts. I will have to open a store with another provider that does offer a competitive credit card processor intregration. To put it bluntly....Verisign sucks.
