Hello~

I am exploring Vendio check out and have a couple of questions.

1. I already have a merchant account. Is there a way to set up the check-out so that I can process cards manually?

2. If not, is there an additional charge for Vendio's merchant services?

3. I get the impression, but want to make sure, that you CAN use vendio checkout without actually using a vendio store and that the ebay "pay now" button will take a buyer to that check out page?

Thanks for any help!

Hello,

1/2. At this time, Vendio does not provide credit card processing services. We do not collect or store credit card information from your buyers for use in checkout. Our checkout system allows direct credit card payments if you have a merchant bank account and you are a Verisign (Payflow Pro) subscriber. You can also use Paypal to accept credit card payments as your buyers check out. If you use Propay and you enter your Propay ID on our site, we will notify you when a buyer checks out to let you know you need to send and invoice.

If you are not a Verisign subscriber and you do not use Paypal or Propay, but you would like to accept credit card payments, you would need an external system for this. Some of our customers process credit card payments over the phone, and simply provide directions on how to make the payment in checkout. Others have a secure webform or an external shopping cart that can be hyperlinked in the checkout instructions.

We are currently evaluating the implementation of alternative credit card processing methods, including authorize.net. We hope to be able to provide some better alternatives for you in the near future.

3. You can use Vendio checkout without having a Vendio Store. In order to have the eBay "pay now" button direct the buyer to Vendio checkout you will need to turn on eBay checkout redirect. You can do this by going to "My Account" --> "Post Sale Management" --> then check the box for "Use eBay Checkout Redirect".

Regards,
Nathan
