This is the exact email I received from one of my best customers today:

"Hi, Adam.

I tried again, and it did not work. I had to call for help because my PC eventually
did not get pictures from any site. I got my PC fixed and it went smoothly again.

So, I thought I should have a look at your site again, and guess what, I did not get
pictures, and I tried other sites again. No pictures could be received again, and I
had to get help again to clean up. This favour from my internet-operator cost
nearly thirty dollars per minute, and the two cleaning operations took about
ten minutes to perform.

Your site has a bug, and I belive I will do my business on eBay until this is fixed.
So, my friend, please show you listings on eBay, pref. as "Buy It Now"."

Now, I am CERTAIN that Vendio did not cause this, but I have had similar reports from other customers.

What choice do I have? Close my Vendio store. That is my decision.

My customers had a relationship with me of trust. I now have to begin to contact each customer, apologize for the issues, and then try to get them back by offering free items or deep discounts. That is, of course, after I get my new store ready.

Thanks, Vendio, it's been a wild ride, but I'll get off here.

Hello,

As mentioned in your other post on this same topic, this is not the result of your storefront on it's own, rather something with the way you have setup your own redirect from your website gem-id.com.

Going direct to your storefront would not cause such issues, and if you wanted to make it work without error, you could. But that would require some effort on your part to change the way in which you have your redirect setup so that it both loads properly, and so your shopping cart system isn't broken in the process as is currently the case when using your redirected URL.

Note to others: you CAN setup a redirect without these issues. Many Vendio webhosting customers are doing this currently without *any* of these issues, so please let us know if you have any trouble so we can assist.

Were sorry to see you go adamrainoff, just let us know if you need any assistance in helping with your transition, or if you prefer to address the issue rather than just close the account out.

Regards,
Christopher

Thanks for the help, but no thanks.

Firstly, there is no reason that a FRAME would cause the images not to appear on a web page. THAT is simply not true.

Next, I cannot run a professional company with a url of "shops.vendio.com/myname" and I have requested to change it from my personal name to my company name about 2 months ago.

Your "domain name solution" means someone goes to the Vendio shop URL instead of my company. That just doesn't cut it in the trust arena today.

There are a list of other reasons, including the price, but I do not need to spend any more time on this.

One more thing:

My shopping cart isn't broken, people just don't want to buy anything because the site doesn't work and/or looks cheap.

I ran tests, in frame mode, and made purchases. Everything went fine.

Hello,

If you wanted to troubleshoot further, let us know. Another Vendio store user was the one that reported they were unable to add more than one item to your shopping cart. Thats why its also important to try different browsers when testing how you setup your frame redirect, as what works for you, may not work for someone else.

And to clarify, nobody was saying you HAD to use your Vendio storefront URL, ONLY that it would be a good thing to test. If the person having trouble didnt use your redirect and didnt have issues, then you would know where to put further troubleshooting efforts.

If you did want to make a further effort, I doubt it would take much to get it where it needs to be and working properly.

Regards,
Christopher

That's too bad Adam. You were so complementary of Vendio back in the beginning.

I can understand your frustration and wish you good luck in your new store. Keep us informed how it is going!

My new store is going great, and costs me less than Vendio. I can customize everything, I have my own domain name, and it's everything I ever wanted.
