Has anyone sold anything in the past 2 weeks of the vendio store internationally? I haven't made a single sale, even from my regular customers, and I have had multiple reports of no images showing up on the landing page.

No images = no sales.

My customers said to me "I want to continue to do business with you, but I cannot see your products." I thought this was an isolated incident, but these reports came out of South America, Europe, and the U.S.

I need some technical support, and fast!

Hello,

This is the first report we've had of any such issue. If these are your regular users, can you ask them to email you a screenshot of how it appears when it does happen?

I checked your storefront and everything appears to be setup properly at this time.

Christopher

I have spot checked with some of my contacts in other countries and everything checks out o.k.

The same thing happened to me about a week ago for maybe 30 minutes. No images, everything just showed up as a blank box.

I realize this may be a difficult situation to fix, but I have to solve it. Can we move my account to another server with a better connection internationally?

Understand, I need to make a change, whether it be within Vendio or outside of Vendio.

Hello,

We'll need more information before anything can be done. There is no international specific server you can 'move' your store to.

If its happening to you, its happening to others to, and should be pretty easy to track down the cause of once we have some/any information to go off of. As noted this was the first report of any such issue we've had thus far on the stores.

If you can see your storefront images, everyone can as well, unless they are having ISP specific connection/routing issues, which nobody other than that specific ISP (or server/hub in their route to the Vendio servers) would be able to fix.

When you get your next report of this issue, see if you can find the ISP of the user reporting the problem and if possible, get a screenshot of what the store looks like when in this state. Check it yourself at that same time if your online to see if it loads ok on your end/location/ISP.

Christopher

Here's the screen shot:

http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w82/adamrainoff/vendiobad.jpg

After waiting for all items to load, and reloading many times, this is what appeared.

This was taken by one of my customers at:

IP: 200.118.107.75

That's all! The customer cleared the cache, restarted the computer and tried again, and the same thing happened.

Anything else??

Hello,

The screenshot shows the 'loading' progress bar at the bottom of the page, apparently waiting for 16 items that have yet to download and load into the page.

Perhaps the page is timing out, if they are having trouble downloading all of the data on the page (if they have an especially slow connection, or trouble reaching the Vendio servers from their ISP (not to be confused with their IP address.)

Have them also try going directly to your Vendio storefront URL, rather than the framed redirect link that they appear to be using (gem-id.com) currently. Perhaps something related to the framed redirect is causing issues with the loading of data on the 'framed' page.
If they can go directly to your Vendio storefront URL, bypassing your framed redirect/URL, and load without error. Then you would know which direction to head with the troubleshooting process.

Christopher

Thanks Chris.

I have decided due to this issue, the lack of customization and lack of branding to my own domain name to leave Vendio for my store and my account.

Thanks for trying and good luck on the move.

Hello,

As mentioned in your other post on this same topic, this is not the result of your storefront on it's own, rather something with the way you have setup your own redirect from your website gem-id.com.

Going direct to your storefront would not cause such issues, and if you wanted to make it work without error, you could. But that would require some effort on your part to change the way in which you have your redirect setup so that it both loads properly, and so your shopping cart system isn't broken in the process as is currently the case when using your redirected URL.

Note to others: you CAN setup a redirect without these issues. Many Vendio webhosting customers are doing this currently without *any* of these issues, so please let us know if you have any trouble so we can assist.

Were sorry to see you go adamrainoff, just let us know if you need any assistance in helping with your transition, or if you prefer to address the issue rather than just close the account out.

Regards,
Christopher
