Hello Nathan -
I recently opened my Arista Beach Vendio Store and I thought I could launch my items to my Vendio Store instead of eBay. Is this true?
I only found you could list to the store if you have multiples of the same item.
I guess what I am asking is that my eBay items are in the store already. How would I list new items to my store only? Can you provide a link adn explain how to do it?
Note that your active eBay listings will show in your Vendio Store, but they will show as eBay listings (they will just link to the actual eBay listing), rather than Vendio Store items. If you only have one of the item, then you would need to list it to either eBay or your Vendio Store. If you have more than one of the item than you can list it in both places at once. If you have one of the item and you want to list it in your Vendio Store, but not on eBay, then you will first need to remove the item from eBay.
To convert your eBay listings into Vendio Store listings, please follow the steps below.
1. If the listings were not created in Vendio, and do not exist in your Vendio Sales Manager account, you will need to import them. You may use the "Import" tool in Sales Manager to do this (note that Import is intended for one-time use.) You will find the Import tool under the "Import/Track" link in the left navigation bar. Before running the import, please be sure that your eBay ID information is entered correctly on our site, as your listings will not import if this information is not up to date.
2. Once your items are imported, to convert active listings to Vendio Store items, follow these steps:
- Click the 'Copy' button next to the listing (this will copy the listing to your Pending file.)
- Click the title of the copied item in the pending listings section (you may need to click the 'All Pending' link in the lefthand navigation bar to display all items.) You will now be on the Create/Edit Listing page.
- At the bottom of the page, you will see Vendio Store options. Simply fill out the correct options for your Vendio store and SAVE. You do NOT need to LAUNCH in order for it to appear on your Vendio Store. Simply saving the item will create an inventory item that will serve as your Store listing.
- Once the item is saved, you will find it in your Sales Manager Inventory, where you will be able to continually manage the item status and information.
3. For items that have closed, follow these steps:
- Select the closed items (again, you may need to click the 'All Closed' link in the lefthand navigation bar to display all items.)
- Click the 'Resubmit' button.
- Individually, click the 'Edit' link next to each item, and fill out Vendio Store options and SAVE. Once again, it is NOT necessary to launch the items. Once you've saved each item, it will appear in your Sales Manager Inventory and can be managed from there.
How would I relist a single item from my EBay "Unsold Items" Post Sale page into a Vendio Store? These would be single items, so I would NOT want them to relist on both Vendio and EBay, just into a Vendio Store.
Looking at the instruction above, it appears that I may also have an item going to eBay.
If not, would the item remain in my unsold folio, or would it disappear as when relisting to eBay? Or would I have to follow the instructions above and then delete the item from "Unsold" manually?
I don't want to accidently launch duplicate items; also I don't want an item that is in a Vendio Store sitting on the Unsold Ebay item list, looking like a potential relist.
Sorry for sounding so obtuse, but I don't want to assume anything before I try sending items into a Vendio store.

Hello Susan,
In order to send the item to your Vendio Store, it will first need to be an inventory item. So you would need to follow step (3) in the above instructions, and this would save the item in your inventory and show it in your Vendio Store. You could then archive the item from your unsold items (in order to avoid an accidental duplicate launch).

okay, i finally started moving a couple of unsold eBay items into Vendio storefront and am a little confused.
How do I now keep track of them?
I assumed they would show up on Active Listings Control panel, but I don't see them there.
Also, I set my return policy on the Vendio Store wizard, but what shows up is not what
I put in today.
Also, only 4 photos allowed?
I am finding the process rather cumbersome, especially when I have to go to the inventory profiles to launch and then have to search for the saved item, then re-edit, and then launch. (And every time the Inventory list defaults to 5 items...any way to change that default permantly?)
The merchandising edition of the Sales Manager tracks items in the storefront via Inventory.
Items that are active in the storefront will show a quantity at storefront greater than zero in the Inventory page.
This is where you will manage these items from once in your storefront.
If an item sells, it will then move into your closed and post sale management pages. (you will also receive a copy of the email sent to the buyer of the item.)
Changes to the return policy details should populate instantly. If you do not see them, try refreshing the page and/or double check the store wizard itself to verify the updated details are showing as having been saved properly.
The inventory system in the merchandising edition does limit itself to 4 images unfortunately. This is one of many reasons why moving to the inventory edition is a good idea.
As for the process, it sounds like your making more complicated than it needs to be if your just moving unsold eBay items over to the store.
Try this instead:
Go to the closed section and place a check beside the item you want to move into the storefront, then click to relist it. On the relist page click to edit it, then on the edit page scroll to the very bottom and check the box to sell --_X-- more at your store for $--x-- each and then click 'save'. At this point you can simply exit out of the relist process and move to your next item, as this will now be in inventory and your storefront available for purchase.

Chris,
Thank you for your comprehensive reply.
That last part on the save to inventory.
That is what I thought had to be done from the previous post, but when I did that and looked at the storefront, the item did not show up.
That is when I saw it in inventory and did the launch process. Only then did it show up on the store front. Did I miss something?
Another question. My inventory section is rather unwieldy right now, as I have a habit of saving items when listing to eBay to edit into profile items at a later time. I am not too sure about how to manage the inventory section into a system of folders so that I can just see all Vendio store items at one time. Any suggestion here would be helpful.
One more question (for now!) : Is there a big difference in using the inventory edition from the merchandising? I don't know if would make sense to use it and have a new learning curve for more photos since I have never even considered inventory as all of my items are one of a kind and there is never any quantity of more than one.

Here is another question to add to the above.
When I go into my the store and click on an item, there is a quantity section. I experimented with it and entered 4. The cart showed and calculated a quantity of 4. But I only have 1! What is going on with that?
Also, I entered a quantity of 1 yesterday on my first vendio items, yet when I looked at the inventory page today, quantity for both items said 2! (I changed it back to 1.)
AND, I did what you said again on the relist and just hit "Save" but the items I tried it on did not show up in the storefront.
I am just not getting this at all and feeling mighty dumb. Please help.

Hello Susan,
That last part on the save to inventory. That is what I thought had to be done from the previous post, but when I did that and looked at the storefront, the item did not show up.
Your *almost* exactly where you want to be. Do not check the box to save to inventory, rather do the following:
....scroll to the very bottom and check the box to sell --_X-- more at your store for $--x-- each and then click 'save'.
Note this is different from just saving a copy to inventory. Indicating that you want to sell one in your storefront automatically puts it into inventory and then doesn't require you to then go add quantity to the item and then launch it.
I am not too sure about how to manage the inventory section into a system of folders so that I can just see all Vendio store items at one time. Any suggestion here would be helpful.
If you have a lot of old clutter in inventory already you will want to do one of two things (if not both) - remove all of the items you don't need in inventory and/or start creating folders and start moving at least your storefront items into their own folder in inventory so they are easier to locate. (it looks like you have started to do just that.)
Is there a big difference in using the inventory edition from the merchandising?
There really is a huge difference between the two. There are a lot of pluses to the new system, but if you mostly sell one of a kind items it may still make more sense to keep what you have so you don't have to re-learn the whole system.
When I go into my the store and click on an item, there is a quantity section. I experimented with it and entered 4. The cart showed and calculated a quantity of 4. But I only have 1! What is going on with that?
The system does it's quantity check when you click to continue to the actual checkout process. If you do not have enough to satisfy the request, the system will say the following:
"• Quantity for item *insert title of item here* has been lowered to that available now"
Try adding more items using the method shown above and let us know if that doesn't seem to resolve the issues your running into.
Regards,
Chris

Okay, Christopher, thanks to you I seem to be making progress. Hooray!
Just a few other questions then I think
we can take a breather!
1)When I do as you said in the last reply,
the items do go right into the store as you said they would. (yessss!)
I notice though that on the Inventory lists, while the "Quantity in Store" is "1", the "Quantity Available" column says
"0", unless I also check off "add to inventory" when I check off the "sell in store" box. Or does the quantity available not matter when only one is listed?
2)Where can I find a hit count on the Vendio listings?
3) I am confused about Google Search. The Vendio Store page tells me that "Items in your store will automatically be fed into Google Product Search". But I see on the message board titled "How to set up for Google products in the new store" detailed instructions for making this happen. I also notice a different message board topic on Google listing feed problems. Also I do not see any vendio items come up when I search (only my Ebay listings). Taken all together, I am not sure what I am supposed to be doing (or not doing) about how to get Vendio store items found.
Thanks for continuing to hold my hand through this learning experience!

Hello Susan,
1. If you only have one of the item/s total and you want it to display in the store, then you would want it to show a quantity in store of 1 and quantity available as zero. (meaning no items available for sale outside of the one currently in the storefront.)
2. The storefront itself has a counter available that you can enable via the storefront setup wizard, but the items themselves do not.
3. No action is required on your part. We are correcting the issue with the feeds now, but it will take a few days for your first group of items to populate the Google product search page.
