Having various problems today. I tried to make a copy of an item but the item info is blank. On my store the item does show(With all of the info) and it is labeled "sold out" which is probably correct.

I do get an error message after I do the copy. It shows up in red at the top of the page and says "Messages
# Empty response"

I did my best to try to delete the items that I copied but I left one item out there. it is the 1974 Dave Winfield rookie card.

Channels/Marketplace is not working either. None of the items show on the screen and I get the error message Empty response

I use firefox as my browser.

Did you make any changes to the system last night?? If so I suggest that you roll them back.

Hello Charlie,

I logged in to your account, but I was unable to duplicate either of the problems that you outlined. If you haven't already, please try clearing your browser cache and see if that helps. If it does not, please try using a different internet browser and let us know whether or not it gives you the same results.

I cleared the cache, closed and re-opened firefox but problems still persist. I switched to IE 7 and everything is fine there.

Hello,

What version of Firefox are you currently using? If it is not the most recent version, do you have the same problem after upgrading to the most recent version of Firefox? (I have been unable to duplicate the problem using Firefox version 3.5.2.)

I am using Firefox 3.0.10
But I have been working with this version all along without any problems. I was using last night until 11 pm. All of the problems started this morning.
I don't know if it matters but some other things that I noticed..
When I try to make a copy of an item(just 1 copy). The new item doesn't always show right away.
When I am adding a new item to my store sometimes it creates 2 items in the store but I only have 1 item on my item inventory screen. So I delete the item from inventory and both items are deleted from my store.
Sometimes I was getting an error message to add a store ad name when I was trying to save and publish an item.
For now I will use IE 7 as it is working.

I upgraded my version of firefox. The "Distribute" to Google now works.
I still cannot "copy" an item on my item inventory screen in firefox. working fine in IE 7.0

I am still trying to figure out what is going wrong in Firefox brower. Not having these problems in IE 7.0


When I try to edit an existing item(I check the box next to the item, then click EDIT) it looks like the CREATE ITEM screen is displayed. None of my previous item information is populated in the fields. PLUS only the ITEM-INFO section is shown on the screen(No STORE Info or Profiles)

I did notice that the system seems to be waiting for data as what is displayed along the bottom line on the screen..
waiting for apps.vendio.com after awhile it changes to DONE.

Hello,

Does the item your editing factor into this issue at all?

For example if you edit SKU 2003983488 while in FireFox, do you still get this error?

I have actually seen the error you mention once before on my own machine and with FireFox and it was happening when the user had a lot of their own HTML code pasted into the item description field. That's why I wanted to see if you had the same trouble with the above SKU as there is very little custom HTML code embedded into the item description field for this one.

I was able to view all of yours that I tried so unfortunately I cannot confirm the error your seeing in your account currently - however, note that rather than pasting the HTML code manually for your item descriptions you could save a lot of time by using the custom templates (if you haven't already) to build the template and then just focus on writing the basic description and applying that template when listing the item.

I am having several problems in firefox.

I tried the sku that you gave me and I have the same problem. Nothing shows up on the item page. No heading, no shipping, no image no details, etc. All blank.

SO I tried to "Create" a new item called "test item" using firefox. I was able to enter all information. I did not use any html. No picture. When I hit save I got an error message "empty response". It took a awile for the item to even show up in my list of items. It shows right away in IE 7. I clicked on the test item once it showed up on my list. In firefox it is blank. In ie 7 the content is there.

Have any other ideas?

I have a second computer at home. It has the same version of firefox on it as my main computer. The second computer does NOT have any of the problems in firefox. So the trouble must have something to do with the settings/programs on my main computer.

I logged into my main computer. Ran msconfig and activated all programs and services. restarted the computer. entered vendio and it works fine. So there most likely was a service that I had disabled that impacted the application.

Thanks for the update on this issue. Odd results, as usually disabling all of those programs is what makes things work properly - but either way if you found a fix that is great news.

I may have jumped the gun. Some problems persist. Maybe I should do a system restore back to 8/7 as the problems started after that. What do you think?

Some of the problems that I am having still:
If I click OUT OF STOCK I get empty response

When I try to save an item, it wants me to enter a store ad name, so I do and then it duplicates the listing on my store.

Probably some others as well but it may jsut be better to try the restore??

Hello,

At this point I would recommend upgrading to the most recent version of Firefox, and check to see if that makes any difference.

I upgraded to the new version of firefox and it did not fix the problems.
It's very confusing. I also tried a system restore back to a point in time when I did not have any problems but the problems persist even after the restore.. So I reversed the restore back to my current version. I will continue to use IE to get items listed but it is much slower than firefox on my pc.

For some reason everything started working again in Firefox. The only thing that I noticed is that my stored data(userids and passwords) were all cleared. After that things started working again.
