I'd like to have some information for my customers to explain which of my items would be good Christmas gifts. I'd also like to arrange the items in order from lowest priced to highest.
Is it best to create a custom page for this or to just set up a category for christmas gifts?
I never set up a custom page but I am guessing that I would have more control and be able to add more text boxes.
What do you think?
If someone has already done this would you send me a link to see your page.

A custom page would certainly give you more control if you wanted to do something that just isn't possible with the preformatted pages. I would probably do the special category like you mention, it would be the quickest and easiest way to get up and running. Note however that the product pages are currently setup to show the items in alphabetical order only, so some customizing to the store titles would be needed to get a specific sorting display.
