I want to make sure all my pages on my website get indexed and be seen by all search engines so I can enjoy getting some nice traffic and obviously sales. We cannot make a sitemap so all the pages will be seen. How else can this be done? Can you modify anything in our back office so that all pages can be exposed? What is the best way to do this.

I am curious whether any of the search engines other than google index vendio stores. I've done the google product search distribute items stuff to get seen on google, but it would be great if I get seen on other search engines as welll.

Hello,
The only place that Vendio sends your items for you is Google Product Search (and also Shopzilla and Shopping.com if you have accounts with them). Your Store is set up so that search websites can locate and index it. However, you will want to make sure that you used SEO (search engine optimization) to have your Store in the best position to be picked up by search engines. Please see the following Vendio blog post about this for additional information:

Ok but what about the xml sitemap? Can this be modified in anyway if so do you have instructions on how to do this?I think I have over 1400 pages and only 300 are being crawled and seen. Can I get all the pages be seen?It kidn of stinks that you are limited but that's what free platforms are I guess.

Hello,
Ideally this sitemap.xml file should be placed in the root of the store, so in the root of the template files.
Unfortunately, because of the store engine, this file can't be read even if it is there.
While we don't have a workaround for this at this time, it is something we hope to be able to provide in the future. For now we automatically feed Google all stores pages for the stores listed at http://www.vendio.com/stores, provided there are at least 4 items active.
Regards,
Chris

Hello,
http://www.vendio.com/stores/directory/x
Check the list of stores in the directory for the letter X (there's so few yours is easy to find this way.)
It does appear in this list which means it is being fed to Google at this time.

Chris

Ok I see it now. One last thing. When ever I add new items to my site do these pages automatically get updated to Google?

I'm listed in the directory under ezcards. My store is really Corner Store Collectibles.
Is there any way to change this?

Hello Xsellant,
In order to be sure that the item is sent to Google Product Search, please go to "Channels" --> "Comparison Shopping" --> "Distribute Items" --> select the item(s) --> click "Distribute" again and follow the steps.
Hello Ezcards,
The directory will show what you have selected in your Vendio account under "Stores" --> "Name & Domain". So it can be changed, but you would need to change the URL that you are using for your Store in order to do so.
Regards,
Nathan

Nathan,
By not having a sitemap that hurts because then less pages will be indexed on Google and other search engines from being seen. I checked to see how many pages of mine are being indexed and it is only like 212 out of 1400 pages. How else can I get all my pages to be seen and indexed on search engines? I have been doing link exchanging as well as submitting my site to directories and search engine submission. Without selling on Ebay or Amazon or price grabber etc what is another way to go about this? You say you guys submit all pages to Google but by not having a sitemap hurts from being seeing when the spiders crawl.I have had my site over 3 months now and serach engine traffic is real low although I managed to get a pagerank of 1 in a short time.
