How long does it take before products show up on Google product search?

Hello,

It usually takes about 24 - 48 hours after distributing your items for them to appear in Google Product Search. However, I noticed there was a problem with your Google feed (Google wasn't recognizing your URL correctly). I have just now corrected the problem for you, so please allow 24 - 48 hours from now for your items to appear in Google.

Regards,
Nathan

Hello,

This may be related to that google search issue you had back in December with the invalid links and have asked our engineers to take a look for you. When we hear back we will update you on this status.

Chris

Hi,

I don't yet to find my products listed on Google. Could you please check if my feeds is good? Also I checked the Google Search settings in Vendio Channels. Many of my items been set to "Book" but they really are not. Will this affect the Google product search?

Regards,
Jason

Hello Jason,

Google did seem to have an issue processing the last feeds sent for your store, so your items were redistributed on your behalf. Please check again tomorrow to see if they are now loading your items properly.

Chris

Hello,

No, no new news unfortunately to why they aren't processing your feed automatically. We have however manually submitted it on your behalf and it looks to be processing as we speak, so later in the day you should see all of your items listed.

Chris

Hi,

My product feed to Google was fine but recently I have done two things that might affect product listing on Google product search:

1. just purchased a new URL from Vendio.

2. I deleted all the products and then reloaded them again to the website.

I do not know which one is causing the problem but the Google seems to have the link points to my original Vendio address instead of new url address. Some of the new products are not even listed. Please help!

Thanks!

Hello jso26,

I checked your feed and the problem is that your URL needs to be claimed. If you have already claimed it through another Google account, please unclaim it. If you want us to try to claim it for you, please let us know.

Regards,
Nathan

Hello,

An update to the above, we have verified the URL which Google wanted before they started to accept the fed with the new address in it. In doing so we had to claim the URL as well, and Google did show that it was claimed elsewhere already (which would keep your feed from being accepted.)

If you redistribute your items you should be all set now, but note that if you had that URL claimed in a google account elsewhere (depending on what you were using it for) - that may stop functioning properly.

Chris

Hi Nathan and Chris,

Thanks for your helps. Yesterday I claimed this new URL through the settings page in Google Merchant Center. Now it appeared to be "Verified" with a link for "Claim this URL". It seems that the link is already claimed by Vendio and I should just leave it, right?

I also placed a meta script from google to my header page. Should I remove it?

Regards,
Jason

Hello Jason,

Yes, please leave it as is for now. Google rules no longer allow you to send your own feed for your Vendio Store to Google through your own Google account. It must now be sent through Vendio's Google account. At this point we have claimed the URL for you in our Google account, so that we can continue sending your items to Google for you.

Regards,
Nathan

Hi Nathan,

Thanks again for your support! I also removed the Google's test meta script from header page. Hopefully it won't create any problem. I will check back in 24 - 48 hours to see if Google receives the product feed again with correct link to my pages. Will let you guys know if not working.

Regards,
Jason

Hi,

It is not yet 24 hours but I have a quick question relates to this issue. I mentioned that Google product search was pointed to the wrong url. Below is the URL from Google Shopping search:

http://www.vendio.com/stores/(myStoreName)/item?lid=11111111&source=Vendio:Google%20Product%20Search

Below is the correct URL I get directly from my store:
http://www.(myStoreName).com/item/(category)/(subCategory)/lid=22222222

Noticed that the category path and lid are different.

I would like to know if upcoming product feeds will refresh Google's database. Please advise. Thanks!

Jason

Hello Jason,

Yes, this information should update. But it might take a few days from when we verified and claimed the URL. Please let us know should you continue to have trouble with this after that time.

Nathan

Hi,

It has been a couple days but the situation seems unchanged to my store items. Some of the items are missing image and description due to categories change and new items are not listed in Google. Could you please check? Thanks!

Hello Jason,

We redistributed your items to Google for you, which will hopefully force the items to update. If they have not updated within the next 48 hours, however, please let us know so that we can take another look.

Regards,
Nathan
