I don't know if I'm just clueless, but I've gone to every pdf available to figure out how I can download the template that I've edited online so that I can edit it locally then upload it later. I've gone to the advanced menu tab in the template editor and downloaded the edited template (bytheway, it doesn't give me any options as to which edited template I wish to edit), and this is after I've saved the template regularly and as a template. However, when I open any of the files that were downloaded on my local hard drive, they are almost all blank. None of them show anything. If I'm just clueless, please let me know along with a way to become unclueless. Thanks.
The current template that you are using can be downloaded by going to "Stores" --> "Template Editor" --> "Advanced" --> "Enabled Advanced Mode" --> "Download Edited Template". This will download the current version of the template that you are working on. I am not sure if these are the steps you have been taking. Please be aware that you will need to be very good at HTML code in order to edit the template in this way (on the level of a web designer). Otherwise, you should make the changes from the Template Editor itself.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. Those are the steps that I have been using. I've downloaded and unzipped the templates several times both yesterday and today, and nothing has changed. Most of the HTML and XML files are just 1 KB in size and are ALL blank when I try to open them in a regular browser. I've looked at the XMLS/editor.xml file and it seems to have everything in there correctly, I just don't know why it's not being called like it should. I'm not a professional, however, I'm also not a newbie but there are things that the template editor won't allow me to do as easily as I could do them locally, like CSS styling. Anyway, any help is appreciated.
Unfortunately, opening the individual HTML files in your browser will not allow you to view the individual components of your Store correctly. You would need to use an HTML editing program in order to view your Store while making the changes. If you want to view the actual code that is in the files, you should also be able to open them in a text program (such as notepad).
