How (if at all) can I set a shipping option for local pickup? Some of my items may be made-to-order, so even locally, I expect online orders that don't really need shipped. I don't really see the option, unless I'm just overlooking that.

Hello,

You may set a local pickup option by editing your shipping profile and selecting fixed shipping. Then select the "Custom Carrier" option from the "Carrier" drop-down box. Then for the "Method" box enter in something like "Pickup Only", and enter "0.00" for the cost.

Nathan

I need help with this question too, thanks for asking!
Nathan, thanks for your response. But it wont allow me to do this is the rest of my shipping options are calculated costs. Is there another way to go around it?

Thanks!!

Hello,

Unfortunately, the only way around this is to offer fixed shipping rather than calculated.

Nathan

how about a free shipping coupon offer? I noticed that the coupon options are either percentage or monetary..

Thanks again

Hello,

It is not possible to offer free shipping with a coupon through Vendio, unfortunately.

Nathan

Is there a way to avoid requesting the customer to provide shipping info when they select local pickup? It seems rather redundant, and a little odd to request that *before* they even say what shipping method they want.

Hello,

Unfortunately since there is no true support for local pickup, other than using one of the existing shipping options as a workaround, there is no way to stop the form from requesting shipping address during the checkout process.

Additionally this information is usually required as part of the payment confirmation anyway.

Regards,
Chris
