Although I have keep my account current, my storefront has been inactive for 2-3 years.
Back then, I received a notice from Google stating they would not include my dvds in their search engine in that I was violating the following:
- Excessive capitalization
- "Boilerplate" text in descriptions
- Policy information in descriptions
.......Once you have fixed the error, please redistribute your items from "Channels" > "Comparison Shopping"....
I’m not sure what is meant by “boilerplate”; and I’m not sure what they mean by policy information. What’s a channel?
I suppose my real problem is I am unsure exactly how Google works. When a potential customer searches for a Dvd title that I happen to have, what pops up on their computer? My entire storefront - or just the Dvd and a link to the storefront.
I just don’t know where to put comprehensive information for those browsing my site and still somehow make it concise enough to satisfy Google.
I do use a template for all my dvds.
Could someone take a look at my site, pull up a few titles, and suggest how I can correct what I’m doing wrong re Google?
I have shied away from this for years - I now want to reopen and sell in the right way.
I imagine there have been several enhancements setting up storefronts since my last experience.

Hello Frederick,
Before you start making changes to your Store items, first please be aware that Google has moved from a free model to paid model. If you would like your items to show in Google Shopping you will first need to open a Google Adwords account. Once that is done please send us an email message with your Google Adwords account ID so that we can link your Google Adwords account with your Vendio Google Merchant feed. You will then be able to set up a paid campaign through your Google Adwords account. You may locate additional information about Google Adwords here:
If this is something that you would like to do, please next confirm that the Vendio Store you are working with is the one connected to your Vendio account "forceten32".

Hi Nathan -
Yes, I am "forceten32". I was told back then that I could not change my name unless I opened a new account.
For my purposes, exploring Google is secondary. In that you show it adds cost, for at least the present, I'd prefer to exploit my past customer base which is quite large.
Can I assume that bulk customer contract is still available?

Hello Fred,
I'm not sure what you mean by bulk customer contract. You do have the same service plans that you had before. If you are referring to the Customer Manager service you do still have this service available.

Hello Fred,
Thank you for the clarification. You do still have the same access to Customer Manager as you had before. I would recommend spending some time on the eBay announcements page and skim through the recent announcements. There have been quite a few policy changes on eBay's end over the past few years. Please let us know should you need further assistance.
