its users discussing the divergence between eBay and the largest free auctionsite, Bidville.

Locked the thread:

http://www.auctionwatch.com/mesg/read.html?num=33&thread=18513

which provided a link to this eBay listings chart:

http://www.quotetracker.com/ebay/Y2001.jpg?27605

and my own interpretation and conclusions.

I believe the message conforms to AuctionWatch's guidelines, and the comment by the moderator did not cite any violations:

If you have issue with Bidville, it's time for you to take it up with the folks at Bidville.
This constant haranguing is getting really old and will not be tolerated.
Enough is enough is too much!!

Interesting, to say the least.

Some people now believe they are above the rules that we mere mortals must follow.

stavecards,

I'll bet those Bidville cheerleaders are all giggles right about now. < LOL >

Got tired of typing in my signature with every message, so I just now found the personal preferences for it in my AuctionWatch profile.

Wonder if it works. < GRIN >

And I'm still yawning. Would be refreshing for you to have an original thought rather than the same tired & lame posts that we have all read for about the hundredth time. Some of us would rather post the facts about our own auction experience and opinions based on that experience.

And there's nothing preventing anyone from posting such messages, nor is there anything preventing anyone from making critical comments about those claims. Except perhaps, a moderator who might step in under the guise of "disruption in the forum."

So go to it.

YIKES! After a moderator locked *my* thread under the guise of "disrupting the forum," seems a few individuals from the community came over and caused quite a bit of disruption for the next-shift moderator.
