I am hoping this is where I was told to do this at. Anyway, I would like to ask that the policy to not allow discussions about BidBay be removed. I understand in the past there were disturbances when talking about them but I don't see much difference in that or the recent BidVille fights. I personally would like to hear users opinions about them now.

Maybe things have changed since some time has passed...maybe not...either way I would still like to allow their discussions to resume. Hopefully people will refrain from having them removed once again. And by the way, wouldn't it be better to just remove the person(s) causing the disturbances rather than censoring and removing the topic from those that are genuinely interested in discussing it? It seems like the people that like to fight will just move on to another thread to do that until they get chaos spreading everywhere!

Ok, let me get this straight! This is where we are told to post our questions that otherwise get locked in the other forums....why then don't the moderators answer them here? Is this a test or something? I notice they are all over the boards but I'm totally confused as to how to get a question answered or is that the point of it all?

Thanks

goldenpony,

There is more to it than just disruptive posts by users.

On several occasions Staff of the site would post, not identify themselves as such and cause just as much disruption.

And lets not forget when BB actually "borrowed" AW's auction templates and used them as their own, forgetting to remove the AW references from the templates.

There are many things that we don't know, I'm sure, that went on behind the scenes as well. BB is the only site I have seen that has been barred from discussion.

I was told by the moderator to post this here if I wanted to suggest the BB threads be reinstated so the rest of us might know how they are doing. An answer about this from them (moderators) would just be a nice change. I realize they are busy keeping up with all the forums but if they tell you to post somewhere to ask, shouldn't the questions at least be addressed?

If I ask on the other forum I'll get the thread locked or worse yet...suspended! If I email I get directed here without any real answer included in the email or a letter that the moderator is going off duty or blah blah blah. I just assumed that I was being directed to a place that would address my question and offer me their answers regarding the policy on this or what ever questions they choose not to answer in an email. If it's a problem that is fine but couldn't they just say so and say it is just banned without questioning and the reasons are non negotiable...not just say if I have a question or would like to post asking to have the threads allowed again to post here?

What am I missing....I feel like the egg shells are laid out for me to trip on this one....

Hello goldenpony

This Forum is designed to serve as (and I'll quote from the main Services link menu)

A place to discuss AuctionWatch programs and services. Note that this forum is for you to express your opinion which may or may not be responded to by AuctionWatch personnel.

AuctionWatch Moderators do not make policy, we simply enforce it. The permanently banning of all discussion relating to Bidbay within the AuctionWatch Message Center was made by Administration after many months of disruption.

This Forum is monitored by Administration and a Moderator requesting you post your suggestions here ensures that those opinions will be seen by the appropriate decision makers and can subsequently taken into consideration.

I hope this adequately addresses your questions.

Thanks Michelle...that does help explain it. I was under the impression that the post would be addresses and explained in here by a moderator....sorry for the confusion. I just wanted to make sure I posted it correctly and that it would at least be viewed. Since I wasn't aware of all the problems associated with the BB situation I really didn't understand how bad it was.

Thanks toollady once again for jumping in to offer some help to me, I appreciate it...((maybe you should apply for a moderator spot...lol))
