I have been using and paying AW for some time now. Since AW is not a free service I don't think the advertising banners should be shown when I access my account. There should be a specific area for sponsors. I do not mind paying for AW services but I do mind when I am force fed advertisement. I specifically go out of my way to boycott and ban any sponsor banners that I see when I access my account.

I agree The amount of advertising is overboard. Auctionwatch must be desperate for money.

i have to say that i don't mind the banners on AW site...

what I do mind is when a bidder is viewing an auction and they click on the image to enlarge.. they get a AW banner which could distract the potential buyer from paying attention to our items.

the other problem is that the larger image window does not open in a new window.. thus your auction is not on the potential buyers desktop.

i'll put up with paying for AW's service and banners on AW's site... my customers should not be distracted with a banner by a company that I'm paying!!

any reply to this AW??

I agree, The pop ups goe to my desktop after I have been on this site and I have to close everyone of them, it is so irritating. The ones I get are the Casino sites always.

AW.. check your click thru rates.. i'm sure no one is click on those annoying banners. we should not have to deal with pop ups if we're paying good money for a service.

Do the right thing AW!!

I couldn't agree with you nice people more on Auction Watch's practice of advertising those Casino on line sites even before you get into the AW site proper ! How blatantly GREEDY this AW outfit appears to be ! Am I wrong on this, not understanding their motivation... would like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but, frankly the huge casino pop ups are in really poor taste to my thinking, and degrade the AW service. It sets precedent for even more -bigger and more offensive such ads, I fear. . . . If I am wrong, please- someone educate me. Not only are we paying top dollar for their "Service" but they are collecting advertising dollars from the pop up sites that we have NO say over as to when their pop ups and banners appear. Now, if that was the only way we were paying for the service, I frankly wouldn't mind as much - or if they decreased their fees in exchange for the advertising....but both seems to me a bit much. I suppose we always have the choice of discontinuing the service AND IF ANYONE OUT THERE KNOWS OF A SIMILAR BUT LESS ANNOYING AND/OR EXPENSIVE IMAGE HOSTING SERVICE, PLEASE EMAIL ME : [email protected] . . . .THANK YOU.

Auction Watch: Shame on you. These auction programs are utilized for my business. You charge a fee and I agreed to that, no problem. I did not agree to sneaky pop-up & under ads which interfere in my business. You probably have some employee jumping for joy every time we log in since that denotes a "hit" on your ad. Well let me tell you, the only hit your company is going to take will be that of paying customers hitting the road and taking their business elsewhere. It is disrespectful, annoying and counterproductive. As I mentioned in an earlier (now locked) thread, if this policy isn't reconsidered by the end of the month, I'm an EX-CUSTOMER. I encourage all who have similar feelings to let Auction Watch no in no uncertain terms this kind of trickery is not acceptable to paying customers.

I am completely annoyed by the advertising banners on Auctionwatch. It irritates me that I have to wait for them to finish downloading before I can sign on to Auctionwatch. They cover the screen, forcing us to look at them, every time we try to sign on. LET'S GET RID OF THEM!

I agree with all of you. The banners are very annoying and I think the subject matter that has been on the ads (Gambling, Spy Cameras, etc.) is pretty tacky. So c'mon, AW...can the pop-up ads, please.

There was a flashing neon pink/green/yellow banner ad the other day that would have sent me into an epileptic fit if I were suceptible.

Ads are one thing, but the ones that are so totally irritating that your brain locks up is another.

Please vet these ads before putting them on.
