Well it is a very good idea to be able to fianlly have a customer manager tool but it has a few weekness that would be great if you could improve them:
1. Reading the emails: the space for the reading the email is very narrow, it is impossible to have more than 3 words on the same line!
2. Hyperlinks: on the emails you receive the hyperlinks are not active: for exemple when I receive a question about an auction, I usually click on it to see the auction before I answer, with your tool it makes it a pain, i have to copy and paste the link into the address bar in the browser.
3. Like any webmail application it is very very slow, even if you have a good dsl, it has to reload the page avery time. For exemple, the idea to have several answers preset is a very good idea but to have to reload the page to see it is very annoying and slow, it is faster for me to have a txt page open to copy and paste in my email client or simply have several signatures that include the different answers (This is what I use)!
Basically you are loosing all the advantage of the email client VS a webmail, so it would be a great idea if you create some exportation tools, so we can continue to enjoy our email clients but we can still use the customer area that compiles the info about our customers.
The real solution:
Let's say we continue like mailstep was but you capture more info on the customer, you create the customer database like you have in the customer manager but the email parts stays ours! All this feature filters etc... are just basic email rules that I had been using for a while before you! To use your webmail application VS our email client should stay our choice.
In conclusion after using this the all day, I want to keep the customer part of it but I really don't want you to replace my email client.
let me know if you can do this, because if you do I will probably use this service, Otherwise you will make me loose more time than what it worth!

I agreee 100%.
The worst part about Customer Manager is the way the screen is split. You should be able to maximize the reply screen so you can see the ENTIRE message and reply in full page view. The split screen is a definite turn-off and unless it can be changed I will defintely not be utilizing the service anymore. Another improvement needed, in my opinion, is to be able to choose a bunch of emails and "mark items as read". Right now you have to read each one individually.
Lastly, I can't find a way to sort the letters I have sent out. Can anybody else?
Thank you for your comments. We have enabled hyperlinks in emails, and we have also optimized the Customer Manager pages a bit for faster performance.
Also, we will be making improvements to the system in the future, and will consider the option of allowing you to close the incoming message screen as well as a 'mark as read/unread' feature.
When you say you want to be able to sort the letters you've sent, what criteria are you looking for? You should be able to create response categories, which you could use as a sorting mechanism.

Thanks for activating the links, but there is a bug!
most of the links are ebay links to the items so very very long links, and because you did split the screen the link goes to the next line and the rest of the link os not active. This wouldn't be a problem if it would only be clickable area itself but the problem is it also cuts the link, so it doesn't work. for exemple it cuts the item number in the link and it doesn't see the item.
But we are definitely going on the right direction.
Thanks for your notes. The rendering of links in incoming messages has been further improved, so you should now be able to click the eBay links that you mentioned.
Here is a hint, related to the first post in this thread: you can preview a Response Template by clicking on the small magnifying glass at the left of the template link, under "Click to apply Response Template". You will notice the tooltip "Preview This Template".
