Ok... how do you open attachments with Customer Manager?
At first I thought maybe my customer was not attaching the image correctly. I then sent myself an email w/attachment from my "Real" email. I get the little paperclip icon on my inbox, but NO attachment shows in the email & no place can I see where I can open an attachment!
To be quite honest, the longer I use Customer Manager the less I like it.
The new message notification you introduced is useless. I still must refresh, the Vendio page over & over to see if I have mail.
I still cannot file sent messages into the file of my choice so I can keep up with answered questions.
Mailstep emails still are not integrated into Customer Manager. I get a copy of the WBN but nothing else. I had the understanding that ALL Mailstep emails would show in Customer Manager (reminders, payment received etc)
Maybe customer manager is not for me. I can see NO advantage to keeping it but a LOT of advantages to going back to my old email account.

Hello CherryTreeGirls,
I've checked your settings, and your messages are displayed in tabbed view. The default is for the outgoing message to be displayed when you click in if set on tabbed view, so you have to click to view the received email in order to retrieve the attachment.
Note that as with any webmail application, you have to refresh to see new messages. We have set the CM tab to change color on a new pageview wherever you are on the site, so it is not necessary to be in CM to know whether you have mail or not. We are working on a dynamic alerter that will let you know when you have mail even if you are not on the Vendio website, which should help with this problem.
As far as post-sale emails, the only one you have an option to receive a CC for right now is the WBN, which is why you are not receiving copies of reminders in Customer Manager.
I realize you would like the ability to put your sent messages into a folder. Have you considered using responses to organize your sent mail? You could create a response for each "folder" you want, apply it to the outgoing email (there is no need to insert text with the response), then you can find all sent messages that received a certain response using the "search" function. This would serve effectively the same purpose as a folder, I think. You might want to give it a try if you have not already. Let us know if you need help with this.

Let me get this straight.
You are suggesting that I set up a unique response for every unique email I answer so I can more easily fine it by going through search? This is a LOT of extra work not to mention the fact that I must match up each and every email.
While I was using my “real” email addy, I could simply click “save to …..” I could save each and every email (incoming & outgoing) to a folder labeled with the item number. All I had to do was open the file & there was every email pertaining to that item. (Sometimes 10-15 per item!)
I get a pop-up telling me when I have a new message.
I could have a copy of my WBN sent to that addy.
I can see no advantage to keeping Customer manager.
All I can see is an additional monthly charge eating into my profits, more work, and more headaches.
I understand that you are working on getting some sort of dynamic alerter but wouldn’t it have been better to get these bugs worked out before you offered it ---For A Fee
Are we paying customers a beta testing group?
I really don’t mean to be nasty sounding. If there is an advantage I am not seeing, PLEASE point it out to me.

What about the issue concerning attachments? I am having the same problem. Can't view attachments sent to me.
Thanks...Susan

Hello customveils,
The only problem with attachments we have found through testing is that if an attachment is sent in an outgoing email in rich-text format with no other text in the email, the attachment will be embedded in the email. We are looking at this problem now.
If you are in tabbed view mode, note that you will need to click the received message tab to retrieve the attachment.
If you are having another problem with attachments, please let us know which message is affected so we can take a look at it.

Also, cherrytreegirls,
Maybe a possible solution would be to create a response for an auction when it closes, using the auction number to lable the response. Once the transaction is concluded, you can remove it from the list.
