Does it matter if we are using Mailstep and have the Vendio email address in our global default for Paypal payments? Should we keep the old mailstep email address or add the new vendio address.

If we change our primary email address to the new vendio email address will that cause any problems.

It looks like as of now we have both mailstep and vendio email addresses on Paypal. I just want to make sure everything works. Thanks.

Hi Immages,

What you should do is, replace your email on PayPal with the vendio.com address. You should also do this on eBay, and with PayPal. I hope this helps!

Sonya

I have already changed the email address at Paypal and ebay. My question is regarding Paypal. I now have 2 email addresses with Paypal. One is a [email protected] and the other is [email protected]. Since we are currently using mailstep do I need both at Paypal?

My next question is in regards the the Global...Selling...PayPal ID in AuctionWatch. The help area in customer manager says replace the old Paypal email address with the new xxxxx.vendio address. That means that I would be replacing the exsisiting [email protected] with [email protected]. Will mailstep still work if I do that?

My last question is if I change my primary email address in AuctionWatch to [email protected] will that cause any problems.

Hello immages,

If you are using vendio, there is no need to continue using mailstep - they serve essentially the same purpose except that you get the whole Customer Manager functionality with vendio. If you would like to keep your mailstep address on file at PayPal for the time being, it will function normally and continue to route email to the primary email address on file at AuctionWatch.

We do not recommend that you change your primary registered email address at AuctionWatch to your vendio address. We realize that this means the vendio address will not be displayed on your invoice, and we are working on a fix for this issue right now.

I hope this helps!

Diana

It has been quite a long time since I heard that AW was going to look into being able to have some new feature regarding the invoices and being able to show more information on them. We have 1000's of items and the only way for shipping to know what item it is, is for us to put our own internal item number in the subject heading of our ebay auctions. Not only does it look bad, it takes up valuable space in the subject line. If only the invoice printed the sku# that we put into sales manager we could avoid the above mentioned problems. Any updates?

It might be helpful to keep more than one address in PayPal especially if repeat customers have been paying already to another address. I believe PayPal is capable of handling up to 6 ifferent emails in one account. Otherwise it might tend to confuse customers. Additionally branding is quite important to me, I have gone to great lengths to establish baybead.com and really don't want to switch to davebraun@vendio which is more difficult to remember and not really associated with my web presence.

Hello,

I have just spoken with the product manager, and actually it is fine if you enter your vendio.com email address as your primary on AuctionWatch. This will ensure that the vendio.com email address is displayed on the invoice, and that the Post Sale emails originate from the vendio.com email address.

If you change your primary email address to the vendio.com address, please remember to enter the email address stored as your primary now into the secondary email address field. This will ensure that we will be able to reach you in case of an outage.

Note that if you want Post Sale emails to originate from your vendio.com email address, you will need to uncheck the "Generate WBN emails using your Mailstep email ID as the 'from' address" option on this page.

Thanks, and sorry for the misinformation!

Diana
