I have over 20,000 past customers and when I tried an mass e-mail in the past, bandwidth was a problem. At the time, you said it was insurmountable.
That may have been before Customer Manager.
Also, can I assume the outgoing e-mail can contain HTML, javascript, or whatever, and that it is up to the recipient's e-mail program to interpret it?
Does the outgoing Vendio e-mail convert to text if it encounters an e-mail program designated to accept only text messages?
Do I assume I cannot send more than 20,000 e-mails a month even on the $40.00 program?
I want to use an acquired e-mail sales template with my Vendio store as the target. I sell DVDs and the outgoing e-mail will contain multiple links to the Vendio store products.
You have the general idea of what I am trying to do. Any thoughts? Will your customer Manager program be able to do what I want?
I am checking on the mass email question for you and will get back to you as soon as I have the answer.
If you select HTML for outgoing email, and a customer receives it who only has text format selected for viewing messages, he will see a message that contains HTML and your message. If he has HTML turned on for email though, the message will go through with your HTML. Vendio does not convert messages when a customer's email client receives it.
What you are looking to do can be accomplished in Customer Manager. There's an option that will automatically include a link to your store in all messages -- so along with that, you can also put in specific links in your text to specific items you want customers to view.
I have heard back regarding mass emailing. You can send an email in Customer Manager to 20,000 customers at once -- provided you can get them all into a mailing list. We do recommend that you consider sending it to smaller groups at once, but it can be accomplished.
If you have any other questions please let me know.
