Unfortunately, when I signed up for the test run of Customer Manager awhile back, I became ill and overloaded I never tested it. I am looking forward to utilizing it heavily but I need four probably obvious questions answered:
1) A form of mail merge is available, I assume. That is, I can personalize the emails to the customer base by placing their names, hometowns or titles they purchased somewhere in the body of the marketing mail?
2) The emails I send can contain HTML templates like those found in High Impact? I realize they will only be read by those that can receive HTML.
3) A year or two ago, I tried to send an email using Post Sale to my DB but was unsuccessful because my DB was too large. With Customer Manager, approximately how many HTML emails can I send at one time?
4) Over the years, people have joined by mailing list by sending me an email. I now have a file of hundreds of these requests in my Outlook Express. Hows do I get those into my Customer Manager DB?
Regarding mail merge, were you referring to a system like the macros available for Post Sale?
You can send out HTML emails to your customers. There is an option in the Customer Manager settings to change your view in CM from text to HTML.
You can build a mailing list and send out email to hundreds of customers at a time. How many customers did you want to mail at once?
Unfortunately there is no import file feature for Customer Manager. I will log a suggestion on your behalf for this to become an available feature in the future.
