It appears Yahoo! has changed the auction 'editing' feature. Now when you 'manage your auction' you can also change the title and description. Important to note is this fact: IF the item has a bid on it, you will see 'Edit Description'. IF the item has NO bids on it you will see 'Change Title and Description'. This makes very good sense, as once someone has bid, you should not be able to alter the title and/or description.

THANKS YAHOO!!!! Charlie

P.S. I wonder why this was not announced on the 'announcement' page?

In last 6 weeks I asked for 2 changes, one was major, they have both been executed.

Don't understand what you meant by 'Speak tall and large, never be wrong'? But if you have some pull with Yahoo!, how about getting the listing order back to 'time ending' first. Maybe that should be # 3, on your list.

We would all appreciate that.

I have 20 YAHOO auctions that have completely lost their titles & descriptions - just pictures & auctiva are remaining. I went thru search of the auction number to find my auction to find it was missing description.

I wanted to go into these ads and add titles & fix description, but I cannot find a place or link offered to fix the title & description as described earlier in this thread.

Where do I go to do this?

Also, I went into some of my regular auctions - under Manage this auction, and I can only add information to my description - there is not a place to change/fix Title & current description.

Please let me know where to find this great new feature!!

I went and checked again. Not all of my auctions allow this? Even those with no bids. It may be they are in the process of changing it over, I don't know. But I DO know this. I did it this morning, because I had meant to list 3 of one item I have up for auction. I hate 'dutch' auctions, (to many people don't understand how they work).

I went in to add the other 2 left out, AND edited the description to explain that a 'bid' was per 'item', not as a group. Some people think their bid is for the total of all 3. If they changed it back, or it is only functional on some servers, I have no idea?

When you click on 'Click here to manage this auction', in the 'You are the Seller' box. It will say either one of the two options stated in the opening of this thread, I made above. If it doesn't for you at this time, maybe you should mail Yahoo! Customer Care and ask them. Or just wait for it to be totally activated.

ADDED: When I said above 'AND edited the description', I meant edited the original text. Not edited like before, (with a paragraph at the bottom, which gets time stamped and dated}. Did anyone else see this today? I know I'm not nuts.

P.S. Please, no votes needed on the 'nuts' comment! Charlie

So it wasn't just me. I was about to close an auction to alter title and text and when I clicked, it let me change it all. One thing, it didn't have a bid. That probably has something to do with it but it is a good thing and I find it very helpful.

One other thing; two nights ago I went to look at the auctions. 5 had been eliminated in the list. I emailed and Yahoo responded that it had "happened because I put in the PayPal logo". Maybe someone knows if there is another reason because I have gone back in many times afterwards and added that before.

ROFLMAO! Yes, something very close to that. My wife, poor woman, woke me when I was dreaming of such a nice change. Said "Time for your meds old man".

Hey Grape! I had my media player on when I clicked on your link, nearly called my wife for more meds! I was listening to 'Life in the fast lane' by the Eagles. Your link changed my player to the other one, ZAP! Nearly called 911 on that change. Charlie
