I WOULD LIKE TO GO THE OLD WAY, AT LEAST THAT WORKED !!! SECOND, DEADBEAT BIDDERS, RIGHT NOW THEIR ARE BIDDERS ON YAHOO STAR TREK AREA, AND THEY HAVE NO DESIRE OF FOLLOWING THRU ON THEIR BIDS... I KNOW [email protected] IS ONE OF THEM... BID ON MY ITEM. NEVER EVEN GOT AHOLD OF ME. WHEN I TRIED GUESS WHAT, NOTHING... I HAVE HAD OVER FIVE SEPERATE PEOPLE CONTACT ME ABOUT THIS, I TOLD THEM I AM NOT YAHOO MANAGEMENT. ALL I CAN DO IS PASS IT ON, SO I POSTED A AUCTION UNDER STAR TREK AREA "ALL SELLERS PLEASE READ"...WE NEED TO CLEAN UP THE DEADBEAT BIDDERS. HOW IN THE FIRST PLACE ARE THEY ALLOWED TO BID, IF THEY ARE NOT EVEN REGISTERED... AT LEAST THAT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I PULL UP SOME OF THESE NAMES LIKE [email protected] I HOPE SOMEBODY HAS AN ANSWER TO THESE TWO WONDERFUL QUESTIONS. I haven't had the problems with Yahoo being down that you have had lately. At first I couldn't find my picture album but I did get a response from Yahoo this time that actually made sense and I guess with the new way of putting the picture(s) on as you list, the picture album has been done away with. I like all the listing options. They do tell bidders now when there is a reserve! Thanks for listening YAHOO! O.K. that leaves the deadbeat bidders problem. I sell some Star Wars cards and just like in your Star Trek area we get a lot of kids. Trouble is, some of the kids actually have their parents permission to bid and do buy the stuff they bid on. Yes, I would like a few improvements here, but I don't want to chase all the kids away either. For one, I would like to see the person's profile to contain certain info, such as location, mabye an under 18 or over 18 check box would be nice, so I at least know if I am dealing with an adult or not. I find myself looking at the email address when provided at the end of an auction and "guessing" to myself, does this sound like it may be out of the USA? So many times the yahoo user's profile contains no info whatsoever. There should be a few required fields. O.K. some want to keep there email address and home address private, but a state and Country required fields would be nice. I think I'm going to write Yahoo such a sugestion right now. Anyone else care to follow, the more of us who ask, the more likely we are to receive. Thanks! Yahoo is becoming better and better every day and it's free!

I AGREE WITH EVERYTHING YOU SAID... BUT IF YOU LOOK AT MOST BIDDERS, EVEN THO THEIR IS A PLACE TO LIST YOUR PROFILE, THEY PUT AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE ABOUT THEMSELVES. JUST LOOK AT SOME OF THE BIDDERS PROFILES... THEN LOOK AT MINE... SEE IF YOU SEE A DIFFERENCE... YOUR RIGHT ABOUT YAHOO, THEY ARE GOOD. BUT THESE COMPUTER PROBLEMS WOULD MAKE ANYBODY PULL THEIR HAIR OUT... RICHARD [email protected]

I too have been having a problem with deadbeat bidders on yahoo. It's terrible - for every 10 auctions only 1 will actually pay. I'm about ready to give up. It's a shame because there are a lot of things I like about yahoo. It's really easy to resubmit and I especially like that you can pick the time of day an auction ends. I would have thought the new rule of submitting a credit card would make things better but it hasn't!!!

WHEN THEY BID AND DON'T FOLLOW THRU, THAT'S WHEN I GO TO WORK, I CARRY A COMPUTER, I CONTACT MANAGEMENT. DA, DA,DA,DA,DAAAAAAA...THE NAMES WERE CHANGED TO PROTECT THE DEADBEATS...WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO SEE AND HEAR IS TRUE... REMEMBER THE GOOD OLD DAYS, NOBODY TALKED, WE JUST GOT A ROPE.
