It might be a good idea just allowing your Yahoo!Auctions account to sit idle. Although the likelihood is someplace between nil and none, Yahoo!Inc. management just might recognize just how ill-conceived their listing fees are.

chum--I wouldn't delete it. Someone else can come in and snatch up your ID. Just leave it be and protect your ID.

In November the Posse got together and NWed 20 of my auctions for being duplicate SPAM (they were...my mistake. it's not easy when you have 2000 different items for sale and lots of deadbeats).
The reason I'm telling you this is that an alarm went off at Yahoo because of the # of NWs I got and some clerk pulled the plug on all my auctions without so much as a warning and even though my feedback was over +1000.
So it's possible to call Yahoo and get a real person to end all your auctions. This might be worthwhile especially if you use the bulk loader. You could tell the Yahoos you are going on vacation and to end your auctions because to do so yourself would take many hours (true if you have hundreds). Then use the bulk loader to reload them all on Jan 9, for maximum duration.
Make it while you can because by the middle of February Yauctions will be a ghost town

You don't do it on the Auctions page. You do it either at www.Yahoo.com, or a Yahoo! home page. The auctions are "percs" for registered users, not the other way around. Then again, the only reason I have a Yahoo! address....

1. Do you owe Yahoo money for featured auctions.....or have a credit? You'd have to clear that up first.
I dont think you can really delete your account......you can delete the yahoo wallet and other stuff and cancel certain services like email.
Your Yahoo ID is tied to all different kinds of services that are on different servers. Your ID is just a link between them for streamline access.
To delete your account you'd have to go to the main yahoo Site and delete that Yahoo ID completely and all the services connected to it.
Not a resonable thing to do if you joined yahoo clubs, use the email account, yahoo messenger blah blah blah
