Yoohoo forgot the part of the formula that suggests many Yoohoo sellers are also Yoohoo buyers. Whoopsie...

Whoopsie #2: Lesson learned by eBah - the vast bulk of the merchants are small-timers.

I am tired of a few sellers making it sound like the major group is jumping ship. I don't think any seller on here got up this morning and thought "I'll just go close my auctions and find another site". We wouldn't be fighting this hard to keep something we all care about if it wasn't important to us. The major theme I have seen is that most would stay at Yahoo if Yahoo would be reasonable. I am not holding my breath, but definately waiting to see the outcome. My auctions are closed/or in the process of being closed to make a statement but I will be right back if Yahoo makes a reasonable commitment.

Your right a whole group didnt wake up this morning and say were closeing our auction.

many of us woke up a day or so ago when the announcement was made and decided that.

In fact I made my move back in May when bid dropped off and they made the playing feild so uneven.

The big question most are asking right now is where is everyone else moveing inorder to build a new health free auction site with the inventory that was on yahoo.

Most have 7 to 10 days to decided as there inventory will at that time be sitting idol inless they start move soon.

Most of us started out as buyers, nothing new... I am less predgidous of where I buy as to where I sell as long as the buyer treats me fairly and is prompt.

Yahoo is a wonderful site, not just Auctions, Yahoo has many options to offer which Amazon is trying to duplicate in an unethical manner by jumbling everything into one pandora's box and charging sellers to upgrade their site, at least Yahoo's options are separated into different Free sites and have a main page to work from, we use the maps which is extremely critical in California for commuters, road conditions, weather,tv listings, shopping, health, kids, adult kids, oldfarts etc, etc, etc, etc.... auctions are just a small part of what yahoo has to offer that is free.

Buyers realize this too, I buy where I am comfortable, if I just happen to be in Yahoo looking up recipes and feel the need to bid in an auction, I will link off of yahoo to see what they have first.

Ebay and amazon dont offer the other extra's yahoo offers if you really think about it, do you have free email? no, do you have a free webpage? no, do you have free classifieds? no etc,no, etc,no, etc,no!

rolllanotherone,

I think you quite nicely summed a major problem with Yahoo. Ever heard the adage "jack of all trades, master of none"?

Yahoo seems determined to have their fingers in everything, but they aren't the BEST source for any of them
