Hi,

This is one is a gem!!!! Keep fighting and posting protest auctions!!!

Jazz

PS: Just finished posting some of my own...enjoy! (and bid! LOL)

[ edited by jazzenterprises on Jan 4, 2001 08:43 PM ]

PS-Do not post that you have protest auctions, Yahoo is lurking everywhere and shutting down auctions faster than you can say "freedom". Good-luck!

I don't believe this guy "reinbeaux" is complaining so much. Take a look at his curent and closed auctions. Looks like he has been doing very well on Yahoo.

Looks like he is doing this as a business. It costs money to be in business.

I have posted my protest auctions under leathernlace4mom and will be doing so shortly under tackettribe. Thanks for a great way of making a statement and letting the buyers know what is happening.

Shucks ... I wanted to list a few protest auctions too, but Yahooooooo wants me to verify my credit card first. Never had to do this before, and damned if I'll do it now. Yahooooooo is going to need some quick dough to satisfy their shareholders, they're not going to get it by charging for listings, and it ain't gonna be from my bank account either

Hey Moderators, Yoohoo? Helllooooo??? I've been warned about posting certain things here before that were not 1/100 as asinine or insulting as the below, but you allow the illiterate, unwarranted, slanderous tripe below to be posted without a warning?? I mean, it wasn't directed towards me, but gimme a break ("Gimme" and "Wanna" in the next sentence are both use of poetic license). Wanna explain that to me???

They must truly watch the boards, etc. Which proves the theory that they just don't care about anything but $$$$$$$$$$$$$. Which means the majority of us are better off somewhere else. It will just take a little time to build up the clientelle again.

Well, ittybittymotors has now done our part: http://page.auctions.yahoo.com/auction/48074521. I have plenty of real rocks for those who want 'em. Unfortunately for us, the YEEHAA bunch already have theirs - in their craniums.

Anyone know of a good, free hobby auction site?

Hi,

The fact that they are cancelling protest auctions, shows me that they may be effective. If only these people would answer our questions instead of wasting their time perusing their auctions... Jazz

Freedom of expression is a right that I WILL fight for.

I am right beside you jazz.... Keep up the good fight. They are listening somewhere as they are catching on real fast. Lets hope they are hearing. Freedom of speech and expression - the right to strike are something they had better be careful about squelching. Their stock holders could find Yahoo facing some serious charges.

toolhound:

If you look at the auctions for 'reinbeaux', you will see that ALL the auctions are featured. It is not free to feature auctions.

Moderators: twelvepole has posted insults and posts like that are uncalled for. I find them insulting and a TOS offense (especially since I am 'Reinbeaux' (Reinbeaux is my horse's name - look at my 'about me' page) my auction watch account is registered to an email address on my domain account. If you check the internic registration, you will see that I am telling the truth. For twelvepole to say I am a shill bidder is libelous and defaming to me. I do NOT appreciate this person insulting me like this. I have never shill bidded on any item- on ANY auction site. Just because I have success does not mean that I am dishonest. The post by twelvepole had best be removed.

I will not be listing on Yahoo again as long as they charge listing and/or reserve fees. Yahoo promised that auctions would always be free. As it is, I pay $100. - $200. a month to feature my auctions. I do not mind paying to feature nor do I mind FVF's. I DO mind paying basic listing / reserve fees to list especially when I was told that the auctions would always be free. I may have some big sales, but I also have some big $$$ invested in my items - most are not items I pick up at yard sales for .25 (although I do sell some low end items - they sell and there is a demand for them)

If my item's are "garbage", I wonder what twelvepole sells??? porn trash???

Reinbeaux, I NEVER bid on your auctions, so I don't know whose bids you cancelled and don't really care, but it wasn't mine. I don't use twelvepole anywhere but here...
One thing I don't do or will ever do is mess with someone's auctions. That is there this here. I just wanted you to admit that it was you who posted that protest auction. Ummm by the way what is up to now? LOL I can't find it...

My protest auctions are still up and running. However, on the outside they look very normal. Click on them though and descriptions are missing. Just my statement regarding Yahoo and where the buyers can look for the sellers.
