Hi I am a new seller on Yahoo with one completed transaction and several in the making as of this time. (Trying to branch out from having all my eggs in the eBay basket.) My question: I was never asked to submit a credit card; yet, I have read where others were. Is this new policy or am I gonna be hit with something later down the line?

The first time you submit an auction it is supposed to ask you for a credit card, don't know how
you got around this, but it's a
one time thing as far as I know.

This also happened to me at Yahoo Auctions a few months ago. I registered as a new user without being asked for a credit card number, and after registering I successfully listed some of my items for auction. A few days later I was about to list more auction items but was interrupted abruptly by being prompted for a credit card number. I was not able to list my items because I couldn't provide a credit card number as I did not have a credit card, and had to "retire" in total frustration. I had just found Yahoo Auctions at the time and was delighted with the site, only to be left out on a limb.

All I know is that is was a routine registration process for me, and it's somewhat of a comfort to know that I am not the only one to have found this situation (rejection in my case) strange.

Barabra:

I have been (trying) to sell on Yahoo now for about three or four months. I've completed several auctions successfully both as a seller and once as a buyer. However, I have not yet been approached for a credit card. I wonder if I just fell between the cracks!!

Not holding my breath on this one..
