Hi everybody,

Well there's a first for everything. I just spoke to a representitive at Yahoo, and they want to hear from us (so I'm told). Please call 408-731-3300, ext.0

Tell them how you feel. I also wanted to know what the guidelines were for protest auctions. Apparently, you HAVE to be selling something. However, that's all I was able to get. I asked if I put a legitimate auction with a "anti-listing fee" message (within the the terms and guidelines), would it be taken down? They couldn't give me an answer. The "terms" state at the end "have to comply to the spirit of Yahooo....", that could be their only justification.

So sell your rocks, elastic bands, and fingernails, but be nice about it. However I heard that these auctions are also being taken down. The fight continues!!!! Please call them!

Jazz

PS: I also asked if they could define "quality" merchandise. They couldn't. I'll be asking the question tonight....Cheers

Both of my rock auctions were removed - and I had one bid of $100,300,000. It was nice auction to sell a rock from my driveway, and the auction was removed for no good reason. If I want to pay to feature an auction for a rock from my driveway (AND pay for a halloween gift icon to boot) - if someone wants to pay me for that rock, what business is it of anyone else??? I even *PAID* for that auction! (I think it cost me $3.50 to list the auction including the icon)

My auctions were all legit auctions also. I had just added a blurb at the bottom and had upped the price so I could afford to sell them on Yahoo. I can't help it if someone bid on it in the first week. I can't count on that and all buyers will have to pay for my added expenses. And they closed them and warned me.

P.S. I thought that was a very nice rock and if I had needed one I would have been happy to bid. However, I have a surplus of rocks at this time.

jazz: I am sorry! I was going to bid on your id and account but I already had 3 of them up for sale. Maybe next time. <giggle>

That's the corporate phone number, and wouldn't zero be the operator? I'd have thought they'd at least have a bit more than a message-taker on the other end of the line.

Hi,

When you get the operator, ask for the Auctions division....Cheers,

start selling fingers, put some bonuses like for guessing which finger you are selling.
