Over the past few days I have read most all of the postings on this BBS. It saddens me that Yahoo has chosen this course of action and like many of you, I will be moving my listings elsewhere (around 500). Whenever another auction site was mentioned, I went ans checked it out and on many, registered and maybe put up a test auction or two.
The one that I like best is Pootah. It's free, easy to use, and they are exceptionally responsive to suggestions and problem solving.
Granted, at this point it doesn't have the traffic levels that some of the others do, but I think that this site could really turn into something fantastic. If the Pootah crew keeps up with the level of service and reponse they have shown so far, this auction site could be a blending of all the things we as sellers collectively want and like in an auction site.
All businesses have to start somewhere and I'd like to think that if Pootah becomes the #3 site, it has a great chance at moving up to #2 - and we as sellers can help them do it!
I will be placing many listings there and putting a link on my web site to Pootah. If the traffic builds and sales start to fly - everyone benefits. If not, it didn't cost anything.
They not only need our help, they are willing to give us what we want and quickly too! Are there any other auction sites out there offering that? I haven't found any except for Pootah.
For those that are wondering, I am not associated with their company nor have I been compensated for this posting. I just like what I see and the potential.

They answered part of my question already. I will see if they add a 'Radios' category under 'Collectibles' I specialize in collectible radios- especially tube radios (and some transistor radios / novelty radios) - and I need the category added if I am even going to attempt to list there.

I just listed 4 items there. I also have items over at Lycos (have to sign in 3,4 times to log in--odd) and auctionaddict.com. I also have some things at 321gone.com and actually *sold* somethere there 3 weeks ago! It got about 3 bids and it got a little red "pepper" signifying a "hot" auction. LOL!

It certainly has a fresh look. I can never see this place generating enough volume of buyers in the days of ebay. Yahoo has it's hand full, let alone a unknown little auction site. I'll check back in five years and see how it's going.
