Does ANYTHING make you people happy? Or do you just like to sit back and complain about everything?

I'm with you!!!

Apparently the moderator feels this was off-topic in another thread, so I thought I'd make it the subject... let's discuss.

By nature I am quite a happy person. However, I try to always be fair and I expect the same from the world around. So you can be sure that I am not satisfied a great deal of the time.

Several things make me happy but most cannot be discussed on a family site such as this. Though on occasion, I have been known to scream 'Yahoo' during one of these happy making activities.
Thanks for asking.

Here are a few of my favorite things:

Users complaining of fees too expensive
Posting some comments that some find offensive
The blood boiling feeling
A stupid post brings
These are a few of my favorite things

Knowing that auctions will finally be cleaner
Calling a user a moronic weiner
Knowing that Yahoo will soon be the King
These are a few of my favorite things

Posting an auction that I know will sell real high
Waiting at the door to tell bad sellers "goodbye"
My sell-through rate flying as if it had wings
These are a few of my favorite things

When I read dumb posts
When they make no sense
When I'm feeling sad
I simply log on to a good auction site
And then I don't feel so bad!

Gotta hand it to ya on the lyrics.

But I disagree with the content.

Look, if I could maintain my sales volume, I would have no problem paying the proposed fees.

However, that's not going to happen. When the vast majority of sellers leave Yahoo, so will the bidders, eventually.

Even Yahoo has aknowledged the idea of a "critical mass" -- a number of auctions which they must maintain in order to sustain regular visitors. They have indicated that they believe this number to be about 1 million items, and I tend to agree.

However, I do not believe that they will be able to maintain that level. Not even close.

So when all the buyers leave and you are paying all these fees, yet your sales are only a fraction of what they are now, I believe you will be changing your tune.

TedNancy,

Welcome to AuctionWatch.com, I see this is your first post.

If you will read the Community Guidelines you will find that these forums are here for the discussion of auction issues for the membership, with the exception of the Round Table.

There will always be disagreement amongst the Membership but we expect respect will be given to each other and topics addressed rather than posters.

I'm going to lock this thread and ask that if you wish to discuss a non-auction related topic that you start one in the Round Table.

If you wish to discuss an issue relating to moderation, take it to the Moderator's Corner.

Again, welcome to AuctionWatch.com
