I just thought I would take a look at how many individual users posted in this Yahoo message forum in the last 8 days or so. By my count it is about 90 users. That does not include people who read these but do not post. My point is, are we really making that much of a difference by talking about how upset we are about Yahoo.
I know I HAD TOO MUCH TIME ON MY HANDS.

Consider this. If EVERYONE had cancelled their auctions and relisted them with the maximum of two relists, there would be a ZERO decline in overall listings at Yahoo!Auctions.
So it looks like most sellers just let their auction end and realized they could no longer justify further auctions due to listing fees.
And that's why we're seeing the sharp declines NOW, not later.
When those relists begin ending in about two weeks, Yahoo!Auctions will come to understand just how ill-conceived their idea really was.
IMO, Yahoo!Auctions will be a mere shadow of what it was.

I've dropped from 70+ to 3 listings, and will only continue to list anything as long as I have credit to do so, stuff sells, and/or they start pulling listings due to off-site advertising (i.e. mentioning where you have additional merchandise listed). If every Yahoo! seller decreases by this percentage or more, maybe they'll get the message.

I, personally, came here looking to see what other auction sites are available. I'm sure many others have and are doing the same thing. I have five sites that I am now going to look at.
Here's an idea for a seller who sells Hunting and/or Gun Items.... www.forthehunt.com. Granted, the items you may list here are restricted, but if you sell this type of merchandise, I have found the site to be very easy to use. They do charge a final listing fee of 5% -- but I'm of the opinion.. if I sell, I don't mind paying a percentage of my profits to site who hosted my auction. I do mind paying and not selling. Just MHO.
