Well, folks, its been one week since Yahoo!Auctions began chargining listing fees. Here's the percentage results for the categories I'm following:

-27.0% Antiques, Art, & Collectibles > Miscellaneous > Postcards
-13.1% Antiques, Art, & Collectibles > Miscellaneous > Maps
-24.6% Coins, Paper Money, & Stamps > Coins > United States
-24.4% Coins, Paper Money, & Stamps > Stamps > United States
-39.9% Computers > Hardware > PC
-29.6% Computers > Software > PC
-35.7% Entertainment > Books > Antique and Rare
-27.7% Entertainment > Movies > DVD
-35.0% Entertainment > Movies > Video Tapes
-28.3% Entertainment > Music > CDs

-28.5% AVERAGE

It will be interesting to see what happens this week as we've been thinking that those last-minute auctions were posted with two relists, so none should be ending this week.

It would be more interesting for you to report if, and by how much the typical starting bid has changed to cover the new fees?

How about the number of bids?

Number of sales?

Again, I think most of us knew the number of auctions would fall. I still consider your hard work in reporting these numbers is almost a waste of your time

Thanks ...

dimview, I appreciate the updates as well - it gives us perspective on Yahoo's downfall...

I wonder if Yahoo will do what eBay did some time ago after one of its PR fiascos - they discovered that some enterprising folks were watching the numbers fall, so they stopped listing the auction totals for each category. Does anyone else remember this?

Yahoo may do the same thing as the numbers continue to fall, so be prepared!

From browsing the listings, it doesn't look good for Yahoo. I predict that the remaining listings will be reduced by 50% in the next 7 days.

Well one thing is for sure yahoo has show me no reason at this point to relist paying a fee 1 bid in 17 day the bid was for under $4.00 I have 83 Items still listed.

I cant afford to list at all there the under $4.00 bid I have wouldnt pay the listing fees for a week.

Thanks to all you folks who are gathering and sharing the data. It's so sad. We've all worked so hard to watch this ship go down by internal sabatoge But down it appears to be going. And the big numbers haven't even started to roll in yet. I sold a big 4 items out of nearly 400. Buyers have been gone for awhile and they aren't even coming back for "bargins". Before I relisted for the last time, I marked down many items starting points. I really can't think about paying listing fees and repaying until maybe they finally sold. Please continue to share your data with us and please know that most of us appreciate your time and effort.

I'm very disappointed......I've moved to epier.com. I appreciate all the hard work everyone has put forth in this effort to null and void Yahoo......I just haven't had the time! Thanks to all of YOU! BRAVO!
