If I use the universal search at AW the new guys aren't a part of it..As a buyer I don't have the time or energy to log on to every different site to search.
And as a seller I've got to expend that energy where I know buyers can easily find me. My time has value.
Adding all the bells and whistles to epier, auxpal etal is great, but how are the buyers supposed to find you???
don't say advertising, cause it still comes down to the same thing...I a'int unique, we are all too lazy to log and search all over the WWW...I use universal search engines to find the items I'm interested in.
I used to hear Boxlot ads every AM on the radio...I did a couple of searches there, didn't find much so never went back.

I think the newer sites (and know that one for sure) are working on getting into the universal search. Keep on plugging along.

charlottek - I know for a fact, because I asked and received an email, that AuXpal is in the process of getting into all the search engines, etc they can and AW universal is on their list of sites. They are a very new site and they stated in the email that it takes a bit to get all this going. In the meantime I am building up my inventory on there and one other site. I have had more bids in the last 2 weeks then I have had on Yahoo in a month. Now this may not mean much to "big-time" sellers as I do this as a hobby and list when I can. I sell a lot of craft items that have to sit and wait for the right buyer. But I didn't do bad on Yahoo. And for just starting I am quite happy with AuXpal.

Looks like AuxPal already has the answer with their referal program. If you look at the web clubs and communities and the collecting newsgroups you will see that AuxPal has already won the battle.

forshoppin I think you are right. Auxpal seems to be putting forth a lot of effort. As the auction totals go up the search engines WILL listen. I see constant growth every day on auxpal. I'm slowly moving my stuff there. All of this takes time and A LOT OF EFFORT on everyones part.I try to do as much as I can to make this site number 2.
I wish all success where ever they go.
