The article in general states about what my personal opinion is of the fee hikes; that is eBay will roll on - but this may be a true suicide move for Yahoo.
Yahoo came with their fees, with guns blazing, canceling auctions, accounts, responding to honest questions with computer responses, and by and large acting like someone died and made them God!
The fact that Yahoo had become so popular and was seriously moving up on eBay went to their heads, and they were blinded by pride in thinking they could overnight pull a eBay move on their unsuspecting users. Their naivete, regarding the enormous differences in the way Yahoo functions for sellers compared to eBay, I believe will be their true undoing.
Like anything, only time will tell, but it seems if things continue as they are now, Yahoo rushed in to a decision with a total lack of understanding regarding the Auction Market, and may well be the 1st of the mammoth auctions to sink into the mire of on line history.

I think Yahoo was far easier to post on than eBay. I liked the ability to select the time slot the auctions closed within. This was a GREAT benefit to me. Their top of the page gallary was also a very nice asset.
If it had come down to just paying a closing fee, I would have stayed. I'm even thinking now if they had just not charged a reposting fee I might have stayed.
But again, I have to take the regalia ban into consideration. The only Klan items I have ever sold were to Black customers. Go figure. It's not something I normally carry. Same with Nazi stuff.
But being a Civil War dealer, I can see this ban finding its way into Confederate regalia due to lack of historical education (look at the recent flag controversies), so there is an implied threat here which could ultimately involve my interests.
So, aside from the fee issues, I cannot morally support Yahoo any longer. How unfortunate, because I did enjoy selling there, and in the last weeks before the fees, was enjoying record sales there.
