Before throwing the big party, this is a stock traders/speculators game. The stock market is a world unto itself.
It will not necessarily cause a migration of sellers and buyers back to the failed auction site.

What Yahoo stock does, and what is happening to the Yahoo Auction are not necessarily related at all. Yahoo as an entity, is much more than an auction site, and since the auction site itself was not producing income, but is now would be of major interest to investors. At this point, I don’t believe investors, have even figured into the income equation the massive movement of viewers for Yahoo ads, which the drop in Yahoo Auctions has created.
So all this is to say – I don’t believe the stock movement up or down at the moment has a thing to do with what is occurring with the Yahoo Auctions.

The lack of support for the auction fees in combination with the instability of the auction site MAY impact stocks later as paying advertisers assess the worth of staying there.
