I heard that the big sites like Yahoo, Amazon, and egreed don't pay.

AW only charges the small sites if they want included.

I'm still waiting for my first bid at Bidville. I'll probably faint when it happens. I'm sticking with them, though. I really like the site and figure it should catch on one of these days. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Bidville is blowing the other free sites out of the water. Bidville is growing faster than all the other free sites combined. Sportscards listings:45,000(up 11,000 in 4 days) BooksMovies:44358 Coins&Stamps:37,000. But Bidville isn't a web portal. Sellers will have to promote their items on the newsgroups and clubs to build up steady buyer traffic. If you are not promoting your items with links to Bidville, the majority of your items will just sit there. Listing is only half the battle. If you want buyers you have to advertise. Or you can pay eBay to advertise for you.

I like Bidville and am willing to wait for the growth. I'm moving my 400 listings as they close on Yahoo. Got lucky with my first 19 items. Sold 17 to one bidder. Even EBay was slow in the beginning. These people are intent of bringing growth to the site through advertiseing and the more we list the more people will want to stay and browse through the site. Takes time but it will be worth it to feel like management and sellers and buyers are "on the same page".

I've actually had 6 bids and my first payment today on Bidville. That's pretty good for a site that doesn't get the same traffic as Yahoo!. I like Bidville. They just need to continue to add features and modernize their site.

I too have some bids on my auctions. And I don't have all of them listed yet. I am slowly moving them as they close from yahoo to bidville. The site is very user friendly and I use AW to upload beyond 1 picture. I am willing to wait. After all I've been waiting on Yahoo!

I have listed over 200 items on BidVille, most of the things I had on Yahoo, that just set there on Yahoo week after week. But to my suprise I have sold 4 items on BidVille this week. So I am going to stay at BidVille and wait for it to grow. And to my suprise again the buyers payed me, unlike maybe getting paid for something that sold on Yahoo!. So right now I am selling more on BidVille than I had sold on Yahoo over the past few months.

I too have been making the same number of sales on BidVille as I was on YaWho. This week has been a little slow - only 3 auctions with bids. However, I had weeks on YaWho with no bids. For me BidVille is a pleasant, easy to use site. As more people find BidVille by word of mouth, links in emails, etc they will pass the information on to their friends, relatives, etc. It will take a little time but I figure if this is the start and I am already matching my YaWho sales imagine what 2 years down the road could look like. Keep posting so the buyers have something to look at when they stop by and will want to return.

Why dont Ya'all post your success in the bidville area. People are more apt to go to other sites if they see the info where it belongs.
