I'm intending to start listing on Yahoo soon. Been doing eBay for over a year; I'm not leaving eBay, just want to spread out a bit...
I've been spending some time poking around the Yahoo TOS, putting a booth together and figuring out how it all works. 2 Q's for you experienced Yahoo sellers. My business logo is a small animated GIF, but I can't get it to show up in the booth. Static GIFs seem to work fine; does Yahoo not accept animated GIFs?
Also I've always used Xoom as a picture host. However, try as I may, I cannot get a Xoom hosted picture to show up on a Yahoo page. I just get the Xoom logo (ironically, animated!) generic to server/host blocks. Does anyone else use Xoom - if so have you had the same problem and is there a way around it?

Yahoo will accept animated gifs but not for you logo im afraid if you link from out side yahoo you can add your logo to your ad
when adding images from outside make sure your Html code is right
img src=http:// is the code to use to link to your photos from xoom remember though when ever you store images outside yahoo you dont get the thumb nail photo of your item that show up on the top of your auction booth veiw photo only options and the feature auction thumbnails at the tops of the catagorys your thumb nail is the frist picture uploaded for the auctions to yahoo.
yahoo host for free up to 1 meg in images for each auction listing you put up another catch is yahoo only allows two photo per auction no way around this .
Also if your useing auction tools such as auction assistant you can only use one table yahoo will not show 2 tables wide put link for your auction photos either above or below your ad in the same table .
its best when starting out to list items photo and all right from yahoo till you get the hang of it .

Thank you - that pretty much answes everything and more - I guess I didn't realise it meant 1mb limit for EACH auction!! Wow - that's more than enough, 2 pics is probably all I'll need anyway so that works for me... I think I'll stop footling around with the outside links, no point dealing with all that hassle if I can do everything within Yahoo.
